You don't mind lads like Colback in the squad when you've got real quality ahead of him. He works hard, he's half-decent, tidy player, but you just know under Pardew, he'd probably play a lot of games. We need that quality ahead of him, that Cabaye replacement who has that quality in the pass and can lead a midfield and really drive a game. I have every faith we'll tie up the signings that are cheap and easy, but replacing where it matters I have no faith whatsoever.
