There's all sorts of clauses in deals these days. Can believe that a clause can be inserted to protect the player and allow him to look after his best interests. Huge indication that he wants to come back and sees a possibility that Pardew will be gone in the next few months.

Mate or not, Ashley will get rid of Pardew if it looks like we will be in a serious relegation battle. My thought is he'll go after we lose to Hull. Our fixtures in December are where the season gets really tough, and we're struggling during what was a relatively good start to have in the league.

There is a buzz when we score and it can make players take their minds off their specific roles, but you have to prepare the players for that. Especially when we play in a big stadium and the atmosphere is great when things are going well. Perhaps that's why the players aren't used to a bit of cheering, there's fuck all to cheer about most the time.

France set up to support the player in possession and they are good off the ball. Not surprising he performs better and more consistently for them than us. With NUFC, he only looks good when he can get a lucky break past the defender because a good pass to feet isn't forthcoming. If it is, there's no support so he has to bomb on.

It's something I think he would have gotten used to if he had been given a fair run in the side with the right kind of defensive partner. The Premiership is a physical league, I get where he's coming from as it's a lot of running compared to the French League and attackers can be very strong. Again though, we don't know if he would have been upto it as he wasn't given a fair crack of the whip.
