  1. He'll be a Carr signing. Pardew probably doesn't know much about him.
  2. I still like the guy but think he's never been that good at assisting, so once the goals dried up it's natural to start questioning his place. I want to see two genuine wingers on the pitch at the same time.
  3. A few folk today saying to me "at least we didn't lose". Ah aye, fair point. It's the taking part that counts, right?
  4. Bet he asked him to. Sad desperado that he is. Wants to be one of the cool kids. Could totally see that happening.
  5. A lot of league 1 and championship players perform well in World Cups and European Championships then? People over perform when it comes to their country sometimes, yes.
  6. Samaras isn't Prem quality. Probably lower Championship, League One promotion chasers standard.
  7. "Sir, can you explain to me why you were driving at 35mph in a 30 zone?" "I HAVEN'T RAPED ANYONE!!!"
  8. It is weird that he's being allowed to train alone in Argentina. You'd think he'd still be kept around the squad unless he's being disruptive, which in fairness I can't see. They must be hoping for an offer from a South American club and with him being there it'll save time flying out.
  9. Depends what you want. An ineffective winger who offers a bit of cover for his full back, or a young talent just off the back of a good season. Albeit in a very poor league. We know what Jonas can do and how he's detoriated from being an already average player. I'd rather not play him again and have his contract clause come into action and see him here a season longer.

    Paul Gascoigne

Don't know what to say about him anymore. Saying I hope he turns it all around now is just unrealistic and hollow. All so sad.
  11. Di Maria is a headlight. Sometimes you get pulled over for missing one, most the time you get away with it and have a smooth journey.

    Rolando Aarons

You hear it quite a lot, folk saying you have to be careful with youth, blood them in slowly incase they burn out. I think there's a case for that, but I feel more strongly for the idea that if you're good enough, you're old enough, and you take care of the player with regards to rest if the problem crops up. Some managers are just scared of playing youth talent and hide behind the excuse of "protecting" them. Pardew falls into this for me. We're a top flight club, players signed to this club know the level they have to play at, they for the most part want to play at this level, so let them have their chance instead of playing the likes of Gosling and Obertan who can't offer something like an Aarons can.
  13. They're employing our own transfer tactics against us, the swines.
  14. Ashley would want too much to buy out Pardews contract.
  15. Nani is just a pretender. Could be so much more if he was arsed.

    Loïc Remy

I was at his first game, at home to Arsenal, and to be fair he was absolutely woeful. That continued for a few games after. The rest as they say is history.

    Loïc Remy

I like Ba but it was a daft move all round when he went to Chelsea. He has a lot of people hanging on to his coat tails though and he probably wants to make as much money as he can while he can.
  18. It's based on watching both for a lengthy period of time.
  19. Total tongue in cheek btw. No issue from me.
  20. I want him to send me a handwritten apology, and then get to writing some more articles in the same vain as the one on Pardew which I enjoyed reading immensely.
  21. Fair play Kanji. I said in the match thread I thought he and Cabella looked the best out of our squad. If he continues to play like that and celebrate like a madman versus Sunderland if he scores, then, hey no problem with him. I'll always have my opinions of players, but the moment they step on the pitch and look like they give a shit + put in a good account of themselves, I'll always be OK with it. I think with that criteria, you'll approve of the signing. I'd much prefer someone in the mould of Cabaye in that position, someone with a real eye for an incisive pass that I think Colback is lacking at times, but Colback is good and consistent at what he does. The talk of bias on my part is natural but I like to think my opinion on him is level headed and considered. He's no world beater at all, and he'll never get capped by England, but as a member of our squad he's very useful indeed.
  22. And FWIW, Henderson is a level above him although it wasn't always the case.
  23. In fairness, I have said in the past he's a good option for the squad.
  24. He's a very consistent player, I don't expect his performance levels to drop. I've watched him through two loans spells at Ipswich and during his breakthrough at Sunderland, and he's a very good, assured player. People seemed more focused on taking potshots with playground jokes because I said I knew him and he was a canny lad. :-/
