If we are after Benteke then we should go after Lukaku first as he would be available for around about the same money and would be a better option. You're looking at upwards of £20m for Lukaku. Not really the same kind of money for Benteke.

Not sure on him as first choice but he's a good option, certainly better than Shola coming in. We still need that real quality striker to replace Remy.

Not worried at all by the delay yesterday. He is our player as soon as he completes a medical.

He hasn't been given a chance here, it's really as simple as that. Minutes at full back are useful to bed him in, but you've then got to go and give him more than a game or two at a time in the centre. Disappointing.

I rate Cristiano Ronaldo higher but that's taking nothing from Messi. He's sublime when he's in full flow. He did well in the last month but nowhere near what you would expect from someone in that very top bracket that few players ever get to.

Definitely, was shocked he didn't do more for Norwich, but it seems they weren't sure what to do with him. What would you say is his best role? Box to box role, as I think he's more than competent in an advanced or a deeper role and he's got the engine to cope with that role. He'll come good in a better team than Norwich.
