  1. Heard his comments yesterday about having not done due dilligence on Sunderland, and saying in hindsight he shouldn't have went there. This of course followed on from him mentioning his 10 years at Everton but pretty much glossing over being sacked from his next 2 positions, and being out of work before they (Mackems) came knocking.
  2. Wraith was on Totalsport a few weeks back, and was asked about that vicar get-up and the mock funeral. Reckoned none of it was his idea, and he only did it as he was the only one the cassock fitted. Also said he now regretted the whole thing.... that's might be true, but its either down to the flack he got for doing it, or since he seems to have become one of fat Mikes biggest fans.
  3. No but he runs the PR side. Both Wraith and Rob Lee are 'Brand Ambassadors' for Richard Energy. https://www.facebook.com/RichEnergy/photos/a.903000593111112.1073741829.880117275399444/1339573552787145/?type=3&theater https://www.facebook.com/RichEnergy/photos/a.903000593111112.1073741829.880117275399444/1058091617602008/?type=3&theater Expect it from Wraith, but lost a bit of respect for Rob Lee for this, like.
  4. Well if it is an exercise to deflect away from the Barclays thing, it ain't working, as I'm sure it gets mentioned in almost every article about her!
  5. Listening to Totalsport this week, they have (allegedly) been getting a lot of texts basically starting to praise Ashley for some of the the things he's done at the club, and saying 'better the devil you know'. Anyway, a lot of the talk has been about the times Ashley has 'put his hand in his pocket' to buy players. That really annoys me, it seems there are people/pundits, etc who think that all the players we have signed have been paid for by Ashleys own money.... yet no-one seems to be pulling them up on this, and stating that the money we have spent is only what he has allowed to be spent from within the club, and when we have brought in huge fees for players sold. Also, no-one seems mention the fact he could have simply bought the club, appointed proper football people who knew how to run a football club (not casino managers, and mates), and the totally unforgivable of appointing cheap free managers and has-beens like Kinnear and Pardew. Lets hope the latest reports are accurate, as this seems to be gathering a bit of pace. Still trying not to hold my breathe, but got to pray Ashley does finally want out, and a deal can be done by the turn of the year, in some form or other.
  6. I was in the Roker End for the full match. However, the year before (1-1) draw, we (group of NUFC fans) started off in the clock stand and got moved to the Roker End at HT after being outed.
  7. Craig Hope (Daily Mail Journo) was on Totalsport last night discussing the figures. Apparently Southampton was recently 'valued' at around £220m. Therefore he surmised we have better potential and the value for NUFC (the club itself) would certainly be around the £250-270m mark... then with the £130m interest free loan due back to Ashley, that gives a figure not far off the one being reported... circa £380-400m in total. Pretty sure the '£400m' pricetag has always included the debt/loan to be paid back also.
  8. Agree - playing alongside another decent striker always brought out the best in Shearer - either scoring for himself or setting up his partner (See Sutton, and Sheringham). It was always said the reason Ferdinand was sold was due to the club (PLC) being offered £6m (their money back and a book balancer) on an ageing player/asset.
  9. As others have said, not getting too excited about this, despite the encouraging tweets from Caulkin that an initial meeting has happened. This is Mike Ashley she's dealing with, after all. However, in terms of time needed to takeover if a sale is agreed, would it be that long? Thinking back, it took Ashley from May - July (ish) to take us over, and that included buying up shares from everyone that held them, and then paying off the mortgages/loans on the club. In theory, the club is now owned by one person only, so if a price/deal can be agreed, surely it wouldn't be a long process after that? However, I'm also sceptical that Ashley would be the most awkward person to deal with - but she's a business woman... I'm sure she's dealt with such types before, and must have some idea what he's like in business already. Guess we'll see how this all plays out. Just hope and behind the scenes uncertainty doesn't affect the team - but I'm sure Rafa will do his best to prevent that.
  10. Just noticed on Twitter.. Craig Hope, Simon Bird and a few other local journo's have suddenly started following that David Bick who was also at sundays match.

I very much doubt there's an uglier breed than the mackem. Look at the clip of that lot man Mag Kernt at 2:10 ... 'very envious'

But, this is plucky little Brighton, who's team has such a great connection with their fans, and they make their home games like cup tie atmospheres (MOTD2). Plus, we nicked their Championship title off them on the last day last season. Yedlin will probably get banned instead.
  13. They were the pits as well, we were actually somehow even worse than the scorelines suggest. We do pick up the odd good result in this fixture though. Seem to remember that Given was actually MOTM for that 1-5 match as well... then he put a transfer request in afterwards.
  14. The incident has just been mentioned/shown on the Good Morning Britain sports bulletin. Seems it has hit the media overnight, despite MOTD2 doing their best to pretend it didn't happen. Hughton and the player both saying it was 'accidental'.

Stamp? What stamp? No stamp happened. Nope, nothing to see here.
  16. So the MOTD2 Brighton wankfest completely ignored the stamp incident and never even mentioned it??!!
  17. Lets see if any retro action is taken against a brighton player!

Haha, creased.... its like the club is trolling its own fans.
  19. Agree, it seems odd for them to formalise this now (why not wait till January?)... unless it was out of our (NUFC) hands, but if he was on loan, he was technically still our player, so we would probably have a say? Oh well... unless Hughton saw something last night to suggest he'll go straight in for sunday, I think he'll probably still just be on the bench at best.
  20. Great result, and a decent performance. Ritchie working his balls off again, but Merino did well again. Great header/goal for Lascelles!! Onwards and upwards!
