I don't think he's particularly good but I also don't think Roberto Martinez is quite as much of a clown as people make out
-
Can't see it happening but Ousmane Dembele would be an outstanding signing. People realise we play Ryan Fraser on one of our wings yes? He's not just better than what we've got. He's in a different planet to what we've got
-
I do think it's also notable just on your first point about full backs being terrified that neither of the right backs Watford had got forward much while he was on the pitch but then Femenia put the cross in for the goal basically straight away after he went off.
-
As it stands he's our best and almost only hope of creating anything. Fraser actually had a decent game the other day but that just meant he kept the ball when he had it generally and flung in a few crosses. There was nothing particularly threatening about it.
-
It's a bit harder when you're coming into a team mid season so may not be conditioned correctly for that style of play mind
-
Schar is probably better than him on the ball
-
Point 2 is exactly it and it always has been. ASM or Sissoko back in the day for example are always going to look far better when they have space on the counter to run with the ball. It's nowt to do with not being bothered in games against smaller teams.
-
Did he leave Dummett exposed? Open to correction but seemed to me like the Ngakia kid wasn't interested in getting forward and then that Femenia didn't do much either until the cross for the goal which was after ASM went off
-
The cross is Almiron's fault. Its the right back overlapping
-
Thing that annoys me the most about him and somebody mentioned it here earlier and I did also is that he never runs in behind for the pass and always wants it to feet so it means he always has to beat the full back rather than having the head start
-
He did play the simple pass quite a bit today once he realised Ngakia was quick enough to keep up I thought.
-
He was bad today apart from the goal but its a bit pointless honing in on his weaknesses because he wouldn't be playing for us if he didn't have those weaknesses. His goal definitely covered for his downsides also like
-
Wonder if Everton would go for Rooney. Won again today
-
What is the exact ownership structure? Do Staveley and her husband actually own a part of the club or are they employees? Can't see them lasting long in their roles
-
Its hard to sell ourselves properly when we're being ran by people who have no experience in football. Think that was probably the main issue with Emery anyway
-
What do we have to offer Coutinho that Villa wouldn't at the moment?
-
Quality > motivation

Bruno back scoring the second Ronnie isn't around. Who would've thunk it
-
Was caught a few times near the end defensively mind
-
When a player like Trippier is available you probably have to go get him but I almost don't think he should be counted as a major signing in the context of staying up because right back wasn't that much of a problem area compared to most of the rest of the pitch and there's only so much a full back can do in a bad team anyway. Still need a CB, at least one CM and some kind of winger/forward.
-
Can't even pass anymore
-
The moment of brilliance did count for something and then we conceded after he left the pitch
-
Canny effort to fit homophobia into your first ever post on a forum

Should get ASM off now mind. Doesn't have the conditioning for a full 90

Classic Mouss. Living dangerously here
