  1. I don't think there's anything in his career to suggest Ramsey is a bad influence or he wouldn't be bothered. Not sure if he still has fitness issues though. There's always going to be question marks over hunger when you're bringing top quality players at top clubs into a relegation battle. Maybe we can start being a bit more picky in the summer if we stay up but as of now Ramsey is well worth any risks attached
  2. Class and classy player in his prime. Had a bit of a renaissance and some great performances towards the end of his time too IIRC
  3. He has to play on the right. When you have a player who is much better than most of the rest of your players you have to play him in his best position
  4. They probably would if its Inter Milan
  5. I do think it's more of the midfielders jobs to be picking up Cavani there as he drops off. Lascelles can't just leave the big space in the middle of the goal either
  6. Cavani already got free once in the exact same way just stopping his run. Shouldn't have happened twice
  7. I find Fraser's posture when running hilarious. Proper troll-like
  8. Joelinton is playing like Diame in the second half of that season
  9. Well the point stands, he was dropped for 2 important games at the end of the season because he was offering so little as a Dutch international in a terrible side
  10. I don't mind people disagreeing on how he would perform for us now, its just opinions. I just get triggered when people make excuses for him when he was here before when he was an utter disgrace
  11. Walking into this team means better than Shelvey and Hayden, so aye he would Not convinced he'd make us that much of a better team though based on how he played when he was here before
  12. There was no improvement in him when Rafa came in. He got worse if anything. He was dropped for the final few important games of the season. He then scored 2 goals against Spurs when we were already relegated
  13. And if its unfair to judge him on goals his general performances were even worse than the lack of goals suggest. Rafa dropped him for the last few vital games of the season he was so bad
  14. His subsequent career has nothing to do with his time at Newcastle. Going 16 games without scoring at the crucial stage of the season where you got 11 goals is the dictionary definition of going missing in a relegation battle
  15. Holland were the worst they have been in living memory when Wijnaldum was the main man until a few world class players came along
  16. He scored 2 goals in a dead rubber in the last game and went 16 games without scoring before that
  17. Wijnaldum definitely played centre mid for us a few times and was non existent. He did great at Liverpool in a very defined role in a 3. I think he's a complementary player in a good side rather than a game changer in a weaker side
  18. Thought he looked great that year Lyon beat Juve in the CL. Classy on the ball
  19. How are we seen as a more glamorous project without spending though?
  20. Would it be worsened? Loads of things are on more often than every 4 years and aren't worse. The Olympics would be worse but that's just because nee fucker cares about the vast majority of those sports. At least there's some kind of competitive balance in international football and it isn't just which Arab state or other shadowy figure is better at running a football club
