  1. The same Rice that Longstaff made look like an amateur?
  2. I'd rather our scouting team put a bit of effort in and found someone decent outside of lazily looking at England outliers like Rice, Mount, Madison, Phillips. Get creative and find another Bruno, or even another Big Jo.

To be fair, even Sunderland is nicer than Luton

Why do they get "fans in peace" and we get tools like Froggy and Brummie? ? Joke chaps you're sound.
  5. No one will be in for him anyway. He's one of those players that should be called "useful invisible". Does loads of good work that no one notices or sees until he's not in the team. Similar to Henderson in a different sort of way...does nothing spectacularly but the team suffers when he's not there. Very different to "invisible invisible" that Colback and Hendrick demonstrated to perfection. Can't see him ever being sold tbh. If he leaves it'll be on a free cos we wouldn't renew contract

I don't recall them actually having any decent players of their own for a good long while and it was all loans that happened to keep them up...until it stopped working My bad Henderson and Pickford in last 20 years?
  7. Putting Big Fat Frank back in charge shows they've totally given up on this season
  8. Chelsea have well and truly jumped the shark if he ends up back there. Maybe Boehly is in cahoots with the Premier League to make it more amusing and entertaining for everyone else
  9. He a sophisticated time travelling sent back in time to alter the destiny of one over spoiled club and remind them what it's like to not be able to win everything just with money
  10. Froggy is a sensible fan from another team. Yes he may not always agree with us on everything, but has been fairly gracious in defeat this weekend. Yes we battered Man Utd from start to finish, they did have a few first teamers missing, but that's the same for any team over the course of a season. Freak results do happen over a season and it's unfortunate for Froggy that goal difference may well cost them a top4 spot this year. Grudgingly they will inevitably be back next year when the Glazers (or whoever) throw 3-400 million at them when the season ends.
  11. When was the last time we'd gotten to this point of the season having only lost 3 matches? If ever? Even 95/96 we'd lost 4 by now
  12. It's in our hands now, we have the points on the board, a superb goal difference compared to those around, and a game in hand on the most realistic challenger. Yes historically we have always been able to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, but it feels different this time around.
  13. Always thought City getting Phillips was just a case of 'so no-one else can have him'. Yes he's a good player, but was never going to in their first team too much.
  14. Not sure of many teams changing their colours other than Cardiff, but Southampton have a tendency to drop most of their white for pinstripes on occasion. Barcelona vary their pattern all the time....I've seen half and half, hoops, and stripes for them
  15. I rather enjoy it for the comedy purposes. Would be better if it was Hugh Jackman with Reynolds instead of Mchellneyyty or whatever his name is....purely because of this:

Wow. The lack of self-awareness if amazingly admirable in a way. Only reason most people know of Sunderland is that it's 'next to Newcastle'. Can't believe any of them actually believe that stuff, as our increasing popularity will only benefit them in the long term with more attention to the region in general.

What's the Boro equivalent for makematics? Smogology? Massive issue with Saudi owning us, but massive love for Sabic at the same time? Saying that I doubt most of them even know Sabic is Saudi...
  18. Exactly....Palace are the most invisible team in the league....never challenging for the top, never really far away from the bottom. Somewhat like us under Ashley...happy to exist but no danger to the "big" clubs
  19. I don't ever recall a single interesting match Vs Palace. Paper planes is the best I recall, and that was only because the football was so eye wateringly painfully dull from both sides
  20. Why would they do that when Palace legend Pards is available? In all seriousness they're bound to go for a PFM this time round, as their last few attempts at getting highly rated upcomers (De Boer/Vieria) haven't exactly worked for them. Can't see them being daft enough to go for Gerrard/Lampard. Can't think of a singular player they would class as 'legendary' who 'knows the club' though that would be appointed though.
