He's no great loss. Several years past his shelf life here, and hasn't been part of the 11 for a long time. At worst its losing a relatively poor option from the bench, at best, its a past it, injury prone overpaid player off the books and an opportunity to replace him, or for Anderson or the other reserves to step up and show they belong.

Think this suggestion stopped being amusing in about 2008

Just a theory...half baked probably, but couldn't UEFA/FIFA just the say that ESL teams and players are their own Federation and therefore not allowed to compete in UEFA/FIFA competitions? Eg you don't see River Plate/Sao Paulo saying they're being punished by not being allowed in the Champions League, or Brazil/Argentina not being in the Euros? They might not be able to directly punish them, but surely can exclude without the court forcing them to change their own rules.

Said this exact same thing the other day....clearly don't give a f**k about FFP punishment as they've sold nowhere near enough to cover what they've spent since Boehly came in

Munter

And a forward.... injury to Wilson/Isak and we're stuffed
-
So yet another pointless signing done purely so no one else can have him

I needed a good laugh today ?

If he plays well for us his Everton days will soon be forgotten. Almost everyone was underwhelmed when Bellamy signed
-
Maybe because the owner (KLD) doesn't actually have any access to his family fortune and is only allowed to use the interest on his trust fund. Might be a different story when the Matriarch pops her clogs

Hospitality event after meeting with Al-Rumyyan

Who cares...at the time it was funny as f***. Will probably make him a target in the return leg if he plays though
-
Only works if someone actually buys him...

If they sell those three it won't even come close to covering what they've spent recently, unless they've got some massively creative accounting or are ready to take the 'slap on the wrist' punishment for FFP. Which if i recall is a miniscule fine and a reduction in players available for European games (which they wont have anyway), and which will be overturned on appeal.

Never heard of "white card"....or is this a whoosh? https://www-sportbible-com.cdn.ampproject.org/v/s/www.sportbible.com/football/referee-white-card-benfica-v-sporting-769758-20230122.amp.html?amp_gsa=1&_js_v=a9&usqp=mq331AQIKAGwASCAAgM%3D#amp_tf=From %1%24s&aoh=16745046991332&csi=0&referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com&share=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.sportbible.com%2Ffootball%2Freferee-white-card-benfica-v-sporting-769758-20230122

Exactly this...I remember when he was a youngster playing at Wigan
-
It was never intentional no matter what he says....it was too fast for him to have decided he was going to do that. Sometimes when playing the ball plays just lands where you want, and if good enough (like Bergkamp) you can make it count and look amazing...hell even in 5-aside a lucky bounce can make you look like a superstar with an accidental swing of the leg.

I struggled to see Mitros second touch on the penalty...even in slo-mo and replay. Still can't really see it unless he clipped it with his left before shooting on right?
-
Love it, but sounds so wrong for a team that prefer to lose 4-3 than win 1-0 ;-)
-
Not sure on this one...don't recall the spurs fans ever hating seeing his name in the team
-
Genuinely stumped. Yes the fee did set expectations, but he's looking a bargain now thanks to the change in position. I doubt we could find someone better for £40m in midfield now. If Jamaal Lewis suddenly turns into Gareth Bale we might have some competition
-
Have we ever had a player like him, who everyone dreaded seeing in the teamsheet do such a majestic turnaround so where they're now one of the first names on there? I genuinely cant think of any player that has improved as much as him while with us?
