Is this airport hang up of theirs actually a real thing? (I know they has some weirdo councillor campaigning to get the name changed to Newcastle/Sunderland Airport a while ago, but genuinely thought that was some-one taking the p***) Usually through there a couple of times a month, and its only in 'holiday season' that I ever see them in the kits, but see just as many of our lot too. Both generally behaving the same with the 6am pints and full englishes

Think if he does join, him or his agent would spend every minute trying to get the big move to London/Manchester/Liverpool. He's behaving exactly as N'Zogbia did after a couple of years here....only to end up at Wigan. Agent or none, ultimately it's the player who puts the signature on the contract and actually has the final say on a move. If he's not interested then so be it. We saw what happened last time when we signed a player who didn't actually want to come and it cost us badly.

If a player wants a move, they generally get it regardless of what the agent wants. If the player has left everything in the agents hands they're clearly not that arsed about the move and are only interested in the £££. This one should be left and move on to other targets. If he wants to be here the agent will be back cap in hand

Exactly this. I'd like us to be looking at players who actively want to come here and be part of something. Not ones who are only after the paycheck on the way to Man City/PSG. Under Ashley we were deliberately marketed as a stepping stone. That isn't the case now.

Yeah Sartori was a big hope for them, but he's put in the square root of F**k all and has disappeared into the South American Rain Forest. We shouldn't be wasting time on players like this that need convincing and focus on the ones that want in on the ground floor of something big. Yes Milan might be more appealing at present but in a couple of years when we're near the top and Milan are struggling to get near Europe players like him will be begging to join.
