They'll never get over the nostalgia thing in the same way we haven't. There have been people here seriously wanting Keegan back as a manager even though he was 10 years out of date 10 years ago. Difference is he was good for us, while Baaaaalllly was a bang average player at their best and essentially the pre-cursor of 'Catts for me like'.

I was thinking Event Horizon where they could discover Uranus
-
I would love it, just love it if the majority on here got this Might be more obvious if the names were switched around

Smells totally of the time where we were stuck with playing Lee/Gillespie upfront (Monaco 97?) Didn't work then, and since we're not 2010 Barcelona, or 2015 City it wont work now.

And you'll miss nothing of note. There's two types of posters....the true celebrities, and the ones who think that their opinions will make them relevant and/or money. Every kid on their wants to be a Fortnite millionaire, every smartarse football fan wants to 'break the news'. That time has passed....If you want to be an internet millionaire for doing sod all, then wait/be lucky enough for the next media platform comes out.

This is very, very exactly NUFC

Twitter is a f**king disease. People on it have terminal symptoms, and those that pay attention to it are carriers.

Oh this isn't going to end well..... For them... For us. Mild amusement as we hear random facebook stories about playoff chances disappearing as we don't even generally bother looking at league 1 scores
-
Decided to play for about 1% of current salary then?
-
I'd sort of like to see Graeme Jones take over there. Purely for the fewm of course, but they probably could afford him unlike some of the other names being mentioned that would look at their contract offer then laugh.

This is Newcastle. Our big money buys almost always get fairly seriously injured within 4 games of joining if they're expected to be anything approaching good.
-
Well he just isn't by a long way. Could easily list 5 that are comfortably worse

Struggling to get excited over this one, as he's 29 and I'd never even heard his name until linked with us. Yes he is probably better than what we have (not hard), but he just seems to have had a totally invisible career drifting around championship teams and only this year seems to have formed part of a formidable unit. See how he goes....we were all underwhelmed with Clarke and he did better than expected until becoming a complete liability since Bruceball

You are missing the square root of bot all. Anything real is reported through proper news outlets, Twitter is now just a sea of attention seekers who missed the money making boat from when it was started and think they can become rich and or famous through it by being controversial or making things up.

Doesn't appear like we've made any attempt to ship anyone out at all, and there's certainly been little interest in any of the team barring a passing interest in Longstaff from Everton.

We already got Atlanta FCs second top scorer ever in the shape of one Miggy Almiron
-
Atlanta probably would. Atalanta might be more resistant

Depends on the language

The thing with so much crap in the news is that no-one actually knows if it's him or Man Utd stopping it. If it's him, then fair enough he probably just isn't interested in actually playing while picking up a no-doubt substantial wage, then getting a massive signing on bonus when his current one expires. If its them, then its a bit more complicated. They are either 'petrified' as reported of him showing them up and don't want us in the league, or they are willing to risk losing him for nothing in order to re-coup a portion of the money they have spent developing and paying him for the majority of his career.

No just the curtain of Oz has fallen and clubs are starting to realise he's not the amazing negotiator his reputation has built due to a few stunning transfer deals 10 years ago. Oh and finding out you can't spend a billion pounds on a stadium you can't fill and not have to cut back somewhere else. It took Arsenal a good few years to realise this with the Emirates too, and they are only now seeing semi-signs of recovery as there's only so much you can patch up with a great manager.
