Yes really. We're not exactly Grimsby, or even Sunderland where the ground in only 1 or 2 miles from the sea. Historically it may have been relevant with coal shipping and ship building but they're long gone. Now Newcastle does not rely on being a coastal city at all
-
We never knew what they really did. In terms of coaching and getting a team working it's very fair to say they aren't too good.
-
Think the sea-horses should go....we're not close enough to the sea for a maritime reference to be particularly relevant now that there's no shipping of coal along the Tyne. I love our current crest, and wouldn't change it, but if we have to then maybe we could have something like the Cityscape goalie top from 96/97

Palace and Stoke maybe?

I recall someone saying ages ago it was just because it was cheaper to print

Well they'll need someone to switch the lights on so the new person kin find the offices

I'd kind of like to see him have a second go here. Despite his reputation he was actually fairly productive for us in a dire team (compared to Gayle/Carroll/Joelinton) But when you can choose from the whole sweet shop why would you go for an aniseed ball.
-
A change of coach should do him good. He has the attributes to be useful as a crude Felliani type playmaker rather than a main striker, or wide player. Just give him simple instruction, like control the ball and pass it to Wilson or ASM and he could be potentially effective. Im still naïve in hoping there's still a player in there aren't I?

In a game where tiny margins make a difference we should take every advantage possible.

Maybe, but I'd like our Stadium where the opposition are afraid of and hate coming to

Pardew in disguise? Throwing a left-back on in the 70th minute is sooo 2012
-
He'll do ok, but Villa and their fans are going to have to live with the constant Liverpool rumours until Klopp gets binned off.....and thats enough to wind fans up to the point where he'll get very little patience...especially if they get spanked 4/5-0 by Liverpool.
-
I'd like to think it was an innovative trick to put the opposition on the back foot before they even got on the pitch. Surely it's got to have been done before?

Why not have two separate tunnels for us and one for the away team....but make the away one look scary and demotivating as hell....or interactive screens for them. Like if we're playing Man Utd, just have TVs all down the tunnel repeatedly playing Aguerrroo!!! over and over again, or if we ever face Sunderland again, just a montage of Ameobi goals against them. Would that even be allowed? If not, why not?

Given that only about 1 in 1000 rumours are true, then it's all speculation until closer to January. If we want to be realistic, then financially no-one is out of reach. However...currently we don't have a Director of Football, so anyone linked now would be on Eddie Howe. Could see James Ward Prowse being fairly realistic.
-
Why would that annoy them since most paint is made from oil in one way or another anyway?
-
Sterling isn't realistic purely because of position in the table. We can now easily match any offer PSG/Real/Juventus could give him. There won't be any offer from Barcelona as they can barely afford to keep the lights on at the minute
-
Might be because he was never the the 'main man/talisman' for his teams. He always seemed part of a machine rather than the driving force. If a match was going to s**t for us, more often than not we could rely on Shearer to pull something special....eg being 3-1down to Leicester with 15 mins to go. For Arsenal Henry pulling off his signature cut in from the left and bombing in an unstoppable shot. Batistuta saved Fiorentina dozens of times. Although I would say Aguero was higher rated than him. Other than that goal that won City the title I can't really remember any of Agueros. He was good enough to make it look routine rather than having done something special
-
As an aside....that was an awesome kit
