Yeah I need to continue listening, I want to hear some examples of where I found things odd but he explains. Dont expect him or want him to slag anyone just don't want to hear everyone spoken about it glowing terms haha. Anyways thanks again for sharing, well worth the listen
-
Aye going to subscribe and listen to it more. it's popped on my feed before but I kind of disregarded it due to Purslows Liverpool connections. That being said, Purslow seems to rate everyone and anyone and was giving me Ornstein vibes towards the end of our own
-
Thanks for sharing these, the one with Winter and Purslow was very good, so much so I went back and I'm currently listening to the one they did on us. I have to admit, Purslow surprised me, he's on the money more so than winter.

Looking back I think the plan was to actually not weaken our hand in selling Isak. I think the plan was actually ekitike to replace Isak.
-
Hopey has done him/her a favour by not subjecting them to their tweets.

Multi club if done properly is very powerful and has practically unlimited upside.

Thanks will crack on with these whilst I finish work for the day.

Any links? Would love to read

I don't think we will be in a position to pay premiums for players like Kroupi this summer no. we will still need premier league experience but likely as squad fillers at a lower price point. What we have been doing isn't sustainable and it's why we let Anderson go for 15m and had to sell our stadium to ourselves. With SCR premier league proven is more expensive due to the inflated market for both fees and wages.
-
Yeah we aren't, the biggest issue is we aren't going to get money and haven't for too many players whilst we have to pay transfer fees to replace them when they walk away for nothing.
-
Not sure if you've been paying attention but young players who come into the league and become "premier league proven" are extremely expensive.
-
You'd think our business last summer would warrant a big write up in the athletic with explanations about how each target emerged chosen sorted and decided on. Two dedicated reporters to get it done and anarl.
-
I was being part flippant part serious . Ultimately, if we can sell him this summer and get some money back for him it's what we should be doing.
-
I don't think he's a central midfielder is probably why. Always had him pegged as a 10/ winger. We also put a lot of stock in our fullbacks getting a lot of support and he isn't suited to tracking back at all.
-
Another player we are just going to let leave on a free then? Our strategy of buying English players and letting the contracts run down isn't the best
-
It's funny you mention this as I was just asking myself which players have we developed who've improved technically? And I couldn't really name any.
-
Last time I checked it was the customers who were cheering on Ashley's NUFC whilst grumbling that people had the temerity to protest.
-
Was realistic last year, but we decided Wissa was a better use of our funds
-
Not a bad solution, especially if they dont want to buy him outright. Given the nature of squad cost, it would be prudent to peddle Big Nick, Wissa Gordon and Tino and use the later twos fees to offset the losses from the former The annual cost cost for big Nick and Wissa is eye watering and will hold us back

I'm an expert Bobby, was leaving space for you to talk about the defense
-
Plenty wrong with it honestly. Wingers who can't beat a man. Strikers who can't finish. Midfielders who can't pass or tackle. At a very basic level, squad needs a lot of work.

He's played a couple of times for us at RB but it's very much make shift. Tripz should have just played.
-
Get the feeling Eddie doesn't like him centrally but the competition on our left flank is also high, he's been a bit part player this season. That being said, in his cameo he was our best player.
-
I think Eddie is generally conservative in his Approach, so the mentality was I just need someone who does the same thing as Murphy. We would be much more dynamic with a left footer on the right who could create space for the fullback.

Just the 110m worth of winger welded to the bench
