I think that's a very difficult question to answer honestly.
-
Which Howe is probably the question it's a bit Jekyll and Hyde at the minute. Plus he still hasn't quite proven he can handle the schedule of elite clubs.
-
You bet he's commited to 140k per week which only someone with brain damage would give him
-
Funny you say this and this is exactly what companies do Look at a bunch of spreadsheets and analysis don't speak to a single human being and then have all the answers which usually boils down to either do it more or so it better.

I understand your sentiment and obviously rocking about with Trump isn't by cup of tea But I can't help but think we've come out of our deal with the devil in decent shape. We really need then to get the expensive and obviously bad investments done though
-
We really need them to stop talking and start doing at this point mind.
-
I think if he stays beyond this summer he will be under huge pressure to keep us thereabouts European places from early doors.
-
The problem with our recent business is interesting. It's partly hubris (last summer we kinda got carried away and thought we could go head to head with cartel clubs) and pressure (ultimately as we've seen Eddie has to get results and thus going for the premier league proven more players with more experience is much more appealing/ self preserving. As a general rule of thumb, at this stage we should only really be buying players who can improve and be sold on for potential profit. We obviously need leaders and experience too but we have to be more creative on how we bring that profile in, as paying big fees for such players isn't viable for us.

I imagine his wages will make him very hard to shift.
-
Wonder how enthusiastic he is to work with 5 sporting directors, and a club which go through managers fast. They need to sell for 5b plus in a few years too
-
Fair enough if we couldn't get them to offer something acceptable. Hopefully we can get an offer this summer.
-
Thanks for sharing. Not sure I can place my trust in talk sport but if true what are we doing lol
-
Eh Fulham bid for him in January are you sure?
-
In isolation no, but I felt we paid a premium for him at the time given his output was nothing to write home about when we got him and everton wanted him gone.
-
I'm guessing not 15% is a good chunk for Everton, we ain't getting 80m though
-
https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/7234830/2026/04/28/anthony-gordon-future-transfer-arsenal-chelsea-bayern-newcastle/ Everton have 15% despite being distressed sellers who couldn't wait to shift him. Makes me wonder how much Southampton have for Tino and Chelsea for hall
-
I've got no idea how good this lad is or how good he can potentially be personally. That being said, we don't and have never built attacks centrally under Eddie so I don't expect we will ever see the best out of him in the current set up.

This first hand information or Twitter talk?

Biggest obstacle to that is the very small pool of clubs who can actually pay us what's needed to not make a loss
-
Absolutely, if he'd still in position I'll be wiping the slate clean and hoping we kick on. I will definitely have some anxiety over the summer though. Part of the reason I voted no is backing him with big transfer outlay and then sacking him part way through the season is pretty much worst case scenario for us.
-
Voted no. I desperately wanted to see green shoots but I'm not seeing them. The thought of going again next season with no indication of a change of player profile and doing more of the same isnt for me. No issues with those who trust the process though, if anything I'm envious of them.

Scr = 75% of revenue can be spent on amortisation of transfer fees, and agent fees at a very basic level. We need to increased revenue under these rules as squad cost if punishing for clubs who are building. To give a snapshot. Wissa + Woltemade is more than 10% of our revenue

We do and say whatever excuses Eddie Safety smiley.

The issue I have with the isak defence is as follows. We knew he wanted to leave long before the window opened. He'd been phoning it in for months If the system is reliant on one player to an extent of champions league qualification - relegation candidates the system wasn't particularly good in the first place/ built on good foundations. Without wanting to flog this dead horse, clubs with much smaller budgets lost key players and have managed.
