In the future that will hopefully change but our revenue still lags behind the cartel clubs and squad coat for us is especially punishing because to attract good players, we have to pay premiums as we are less desirable. Basically financially, we can't really afford to pay premiums in terms of fees and wages, we will have to either find cheaper options or embrace selling players.

I think we haven't seen the best of Tino yet but obviously he will be away, that being said we bought him and will make a profit, he never signed a new deal so I doubt his contract was huge as well. Williams would come in probably for about what we paid for Tino but likely on a higher salary and without the headroom we had when Tino came in. He'd do a job for us though

Aye massive gap, but I do think when you look at a package (wages plus fee) we wouldn't want to spend much more than that as a fee on a squad player with limited potential to grow. Wouldn't be the worst signing by any means but imo we need players who can kick on and actually be competitive and fight for a place in a teams who's stated ambition is to be qualifying for the CL.

This is correct imo. Unfortunately we aren't at the level of the cartel clubs and this we are food. We have to keep pushing forward on the pitch and focus on increasing our revenue to get to the point we can compete. We can't outmuscle them, so we have to outsmart them.

Wissa was injured and probably the one who id be most certainly being manager led. Imo a lot of credit was burnt by Eddie bringing in Wissa given the cost and age profile.
