I think Stopping Stone is the wrong way to look at it, I'd say selling players at peak price is the right thing to do until we can achieve revenue parity with the other big clubs. We arent even half of city yet, trying to cling on to players simply isn't viable at this point.

Aye it's not even a plausible suggestion imo. As if we can fill 67k when it's so far away. -

Some but it won't be much. -
It's actually logical why this happened. Obviously Mitchell had the recruitment department which he obviously ran looking for the type of targets we are ironically looking at this summer. He wasn't trusted and was turfed out so we dusted off the old scouting files and ran with them.

This and reducing amortisation is huge for squad cost.
-
Yeah that will help for sure, as will chasing players which are more realistic, basically not the ones cartel clubs have been linked with.
-
I'm also encouraged that this deal didn't seemingly get dragged down by being punted to Saudi to decide. Encouraging signs imo.
-
He's the most overrated player I've ever seen.
-
You clearly haven't seen Gordon strike a ball then Or his attitude when sky aren't showing our games. Granted, Rashford is a bit of a luxury player and his application isn't where it should be.
-
Anyways this is good for all involved if it gets done. Also gives us something to advertise to prospective future signings as well. At this stage we can't keep hold of our best players (generally speaking) to selling to clubs like Barca can enhance our pitch.
-
Compare rashfords ability to hit a ball to Gordon's it's night and day. No danger of Gordon scoring those goals Rashford did against us this season imo.
-
That gets it done you'd think. This has happened fast crikey

Priced to sell is how id describe it.

Athletic saying we want 80m euro.
-
70m euro isn't enough.
-
Parity isn't even attempting to be forced unfortunately, it's just a tilt of deck nothing less.
-
Doubt it, he went for free so will be on a massive we've at Juve. Having to pay a fee plus that massive wedge seems mad.
-
They aren't paupers and you know this. The bullshit rules constrains them.
-
Psr doing it's job again, can't have competition can we?
-
Nah, the Athletic said we haven't sounded out anyone and we are backing Eddie.
-
Lets not post the tweets from the pasta nonce.

For cheap yes, not sure I'd pay top money though as the output isn't there.
-
We want to go again with our current strike force? Yikes.
-
He's on a massive wage iirc.

Who they selling to raise 200m to pay for this?
