    Papiss Cissé

Cisse's heat map from yesterday. Part of the problem is where he's being asked to play. http://i43.tinypic.com/xlb18i.png Mind, the other part of the problem is that he's garbage at the moment....if 'moment' means 'for about 16 months'.

I heard Pardon't on the radio saying we'd been brilliant since the Everton game. That's 'brilliant', mind, not 'good in parts, abysmal in others'. He thinks we were 'brilliant' in the mackems game. Tells you all you need to know, really. He's full of sh.it.
  3. I think he's shown enough to make me think he'll be decent at least. For me, though, Haidara is going to be our 1st choice LB before too long. Not sure where that leaves Santon-pushing forward, maybe?
  4. Fabrice Pancrate. .....scored against Watford, yep.
  5. Remember that vividly, one of the few football moments I do. Southgate's miss in Euro 96 as well. Not quite sure I'll ever get over it. watched it in the Tap and Spile in Shields....used to love it; never been back since. :'(
  6. Aye, Graham Fenton. Nice lad by all accounts but it hasn't stopped me from wishing spontaneous combustion on him every night since.

Premier League only.... http://i39.tinypic.com/15nwqcg.jpg Considering what he took over and what he's done with it he's easily the worst on that list. What a c***. Maybe it's a bit disingenuous to do so, but if you discount the season before last, which I'm doing because: a) I think the last season and a quarter more accurately reflect Pardew as our manager, and b) it suits my anti-pardew stance ...then his win ratio is 29.7 % That's a percentage. Oops. You are indeed right.

Strange argument to make now, considering we spent quite a lot of Hughton's reign calling him a 'yes man' for Ashley. That's a fair point but I suppose any manager, to a certain extent, is going to do what his boss tells him which makes them all 'yes' men. It's just that Pardew takes it to a new level.

Hughton's main problem was that he wouldn't drop his kegs and bend over whenever Ashley told him to. He never bullsh.itted us like Pardew does and should've been given far more of a chance. Pardew's had 83 billion more chances than Hughton did and should have been sacked after the Liverpool game last year (or the mackems...or even Reading). But he wasn't.... he must have such a bad back with all that bending over...

It took poyet 2 games to get into his players minds sufficiently enough to get them playing like they knew what that particular game was all about. Pardew's had 3 years and even if you go from the last Derby, he's had 6 months...and we end up with a performance like that??

First half we couldn't get to grips with the game at all, I still think we looked the more likely to win it in the second. Did we though Ian? We huffed and puffed a bit, but we never threatened the goal at all, to me we didn't look like winning because we created f*** all, and you need to create to score goals. We rarely do create anything because we never get any f.ucker in the box-again, down to Pardew being too scared to commit players forward in case we lose possession and concede on the break. How many times in any game do you see us flooding the box? Feck's sake-even a little trickle into the box would do, man.

But it was only the game before that where we didn't fold either against Cardiff and showed were would stand up and fight for the points if needed. Then game before that against Everton, I’m sure people expected it to be 5 or 6 after the first 45 yet there we were looking for an equaliser to make it 3-3 in the closing minutes. The group hasn’t showed like they don’t care or aren’t motivated in recent weeks and I don’t believe that was the case on Sunday, we just lacked ideas on how to break Sunderland down and that’s Pardew’s fault. Aye, but you could equally point to the games against West Ham and Fulham and say that if they'd had a decent striker each they'd have won those games-point being that most games or groups of games contain both good and bad. Imo, the overriding trend is towards 'bad'. I say 'bad', I mean 'shite', really. We'll have to agree to disagree cos I'm fecking sick of Pardew and the way we've been playing for a season and a quarter now.

The fact that we didn't fold in the second half against Liverpool surprised almost all of us, I'd imagine; but that sort of performance was a massive exception to the 'norm' that we've witnessed for months and months. The games where we've played with the level of passion we should see every week (doubly so against the mackems) stand out because they're so few and far between.

Aalreet. Right, that's the introductions over with. It's funny how people can see the same event yet interpret it so differently. I saw an un-motivated, largely passive-as opposed to passionate-group of players who weren't sure what they were meant to be doing, who created almost nothing in the box, who were played out of position in some cases and who were beaten to the ball or hassled off it time and time again by inferior players. Almost a carbon copy of last April. Once was bad enough (especially with what followed the next week) but twice is unforgivable. Aye, the players need to take some of the blame but, in the main, all of the above is down to Pardew and his coaching team. The time to get rid has long passed.
