He hates sacking/appointing managers. His priorities when it comes to managers is that they're loyal to him, that they're grateful to be at the club rather than noisy or demanding (ambitious). He got his fingers burnt with Keegan. Oh, and he knows absolutely fuck all about football. He really doesn't understand the importance of a good manager.

First of all: You're absolutely right. Re: Shelvey, I was cautiously optimistic when he signed and really liked what I saw of him against West Ham. Townsend, however, now this is just a very strange signing IMO.

Unlikely to improve us short term and we already have a very promising 20 year old in Rolando Aarons. The Aarons hype on here is baffling at times. You're missing my point though, surely any signings we make now should be able to improve the team instantly.
