The scary thing is there's absolutely nothing you can do to completely prevent it.

I don't like the man but he's had a fantastic career, basically dragging a team to a cl win (not single handedly, but they wouldnt have done it without him) is greater than being an average member of a league title winning team any day.

Assuming he goes within this season, what do people reckon his next move is? Championship club? Lower prem club? Punditry? Will he have another great first 6-12 month run at his next club? Place yer beeeets. Internet points will be awarded for most accurate in 24 months time.

I mean I definitely thought he was one of our best players while here, but £30m for a player who was just one of the better players in a relegated side? It's not like he was dragging us to wins week by week and was unfortunate to go down.

Weeey I actually agree with them that the players shouldnt be wearing the poppy but if its true about supporters in the crowd wearing one being part of the charge, seems very heavy handed.

Can't pretend I've seen a lot of him, but it's a bit harsh to use the fact his teams don't usually push for promotion against him, maybe the rest of the team was crap and he was doing a great job just scoring what he did? If you've watched him regularly and don't rate him fair enough but that point seems potentially a little unfair.

The test will be next year obviously when he's under the cosh a lot more against better players and he needs full focus and composure for 90 minutes.

You've just got to hope the mistakes were just a mental thing which rafa will/has cut out. He's a very good player if he can maintain his non-bollock dropping streak.

The emotion is definitely different for me, it's more of a stale marriage than a passionate love affair now, I still care and enjoy the good bits but it's not my everything like it once was.
