Wrap-up warm! -
We can’t even get to Wembley in the league!
-
Give over, because you can’t imagine any other meaning? Or because you think expecting more to have come out is ridiculous?

So you think Beardsley is making some kind of infantile monkey inference? And where there is smoke there is fire? I can imagine Beardsley not having the best communication/interpersonal skills what if that is the problem: he’s a bit gauche and awkward. Not saying it is, but I had expected some clear unambiguous nastiness to have been reported by now. I haven’t seen anything that doesn’t require a bit of interpretation and implied malevolence, yet. What other interpretation of that quote is there? Not to be all 'It's 2018...' but there's no excuse for anyone to come out with that, particularly someone in his position. His intention isn't relevant imo, it's a very basic, straight down the line sackable offence in any line of work. My point is that that on its own is enough. The bullying side of things isn't a 'there's no smoke without fire' assertion, although it's definitely in that territory now imo, more that, why wouldn't you suspect him as much or more than just dismissing it as 'all seeming a bit pathetic' without any evidence either way? "You lot should be good at this." To a group of athletic young men who are climbing? Maybe some of whom have shown gymnastic ability, or who knows what else. There are multiple interpretations, even though the one you have jumped to is the one most would, most importantly, including those on the receiving end. I do suspect him, I had just expected more substance and umabiguous racism in the examples which have come out.

Not sure if it'll ease their persecution delusion, but the importance of differentiating between Geordies and Makems is covered in this extreme weather warning... https://rochdaleherald.co.uk/2017/01/14/met-office-alert-sighting-geordie-woman-jacket-newcastle/

What’s wrong with that? We’ve lost one of the last eight PL games; two of the last ten. Both to Man City (who barely count). We're 3 wins in 10, one of which against Man United. We've dropped quite a few points across games against teams around us. Terms like 'unbeaten run' is a bit reaching don't you think? Well, I guess technically we have a four game unbeaten run. But 3 wins, 5 draws and 2 defeats is pretty good recent form--we would have 8 wins, 14 draw and 6 losses if this was our 'average' form for the season (sitting on 38 points, in seventh)--which is how I interpreted Zero's original meaning, i.e. we're doing alright recently and Shelvey has been part of that.

I thought the same re what Dyer had to say. I also thought there would have been something more substantial disclosed by now. It’s hard to gauge just seeing words in isolation, but it all seems a bit pathetic.

5 lessons please! Can you afford? Might book some lessons. Look out for me wearing this t-shirt height=400https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1288/3177/products/benitez_1024x1024.jpg[/img] Is Picasso still alive? Apparently, it took him years to learn to draw like a child. Suspect we're seeing the work of a natural here. -
I reckon both will start, as well as Diame.

Just a British infantryman, then?

Save your money, chaps. Or buy yourself a few bottles of dog, to wish them bon voyage. Or should that be auf wiedersehen??

Their home form: 1-0 Palace 1-1 Burnley 3-0 Huddersfield 0-0 Man Utd 1-1 Chelsea 3-0 Southampton 2-1 Leicester 5-0 Swansea 0-0 WBA 1-1 Everton 4-3 Man City 4-1 West Ham 2-2 Spurs P13 W7 D6 L0 F27 A10 They could really do with a big fat ‘L’ on that list!

Big game up next for Rafa at Anfield. He’ll be desperate not to see his team humiliated. Here’s hoping...
-
Questioning The King’s tactics? How very dare he. Orf wif ‘is ‘ead! (They are soooo relegated).

Found myself watching highlights of Sunderland’s 2014 League Cup final against Man City. They took the lead, played some good football, generally looked decent. I’d forgotten about Alonso playing for them and Colback seemed to have a bit more attacking intent. Made me think what an extreme contrast to now. Like any football fans they no doubt found stuff to moan at then, but 4 years later to find themselves where they are now... the League One wastelands looming large and financial catastrophe creeping ever closer... I bet even the most pessimistic wouldn’t have seen this coming.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing but Hayden/Merino for Shelvey and Joselu for Gayle (assuming he needed/wanted to come off) and we hang on to win that game.
-
Outlet needed. Surprised not Joselu. Consequences bad
-
That kick was far too casual for me: Ayoze-bot.

If you watch back, especially on slow motion, Atsu’s pause prior to passing makes Cook (no. 3) overrun the ball and leaves a gap to Shelvey. On the other side of the box, Ake catches up to Shelvey in that couple of seconds, but his so called ‘magnificient challenge’ doesn’t get there/ is still too late and is more a lunge to block, but his foot never gets in front of the ball/ Shelvey’s. Meanwhile (in Goalmouth City) Begovic had set himself for a shot by Atsu and is frantically scrambling to get across the goal line. If Shelvey had hit the target, anywhere other than pinged at the keeper, he wasn’t saving it and we’d be talking about Atsu’s clever delay/good peripheral vision.

AFC Bournemouth 2-2 Newcastle United - 24/02/2018 - post match anticlimax p19

This is such a cuntish post I am not sure where to start I’m still marvelling over the previous one. Not sure what bemused me the most, Ayoze Perez not being criticised on here or his contribution to the second goal being a shot; a weak shot. -
So you think tossing a coin twice doubles your chance of being right? Shelvey should have scored and Perez should have scored. In that they would expect to finish from those positions/circumstances more often than not. I thought Shelvey’s was worse, also the whole hands on knees thing pointed out on MotD looked embarrassing, like he may have been feigning exhaustion because he couldn’t be arsed to chase his man.
