There could be some truth to this. My postie just delivered a parcel at 18:10. Normally here before 10am.

No, no, no. He's a relation that the royal family have distanced themselves from.
-
Even if he was his brother, that wouldn't be evidence that he had funds. Has nobody watched 'The Pope of Greenwich Village'?

The mob mentality of twitter is super odd, as well. Absolutely swarming over anyone seemingly involved, begging them for updates/more information. Not sure if it makes it odder, or explains it perfectly, but the media's obsession with reporting on what Twitter thinks is demonic.

I dread to think what impact this having on the NE economy, or even the global one. All those man hours wasted.

I'm not getting on my knees, for nobody's dick. I'll spare a thought for it.

Various: Mike Ashley in talks with Sheikh Khaled bin Zayed Al Nehayan

It feels like he draws in genuine interest, knowing full well that at the 11th hour, he'll find a way to make the deal fall through. The last page of the contract is a hand-drawn picture, signed by Ashley, of Mohammed. -

BBC Reporting it. I've just trembled, violently with excitement. But yeah. -

Still out celebrating, while they are at the arranged meeting to sign the deal. Seen it all before, innit? -

I would say the sun can fuck off if this is untrue, but the sun is already at a distance that it couldn't possibly fuck off any further. It's not a pleasant situation. But then what is, in the life of a Newcastle fan? Am I excited? No. Was I excited when I first read the words "Ashley agrees sale..."? Fuck yeah. I was whisked away on a magic carpet, with gilded tassels, to a world of peace loving, broon ale drinking, philanthropic arabs, adorned in black and white striped nightshirts, bought from the quayside. We celebrated peace in the Middle east, after introducing "outside noo" to the Arabic lexicon. We won the world cup in Qatar... then came the fog. I awoke to find my magic carpet was a 1986 copy of the sun, used as underlay by the previous tenant, and my jiz was dribbling out onto a crumpled page 3. Whether the target was Maria Whittaker, or David Mellor, is too horrific to contemplate. -
He's our Robinho.

Kate Adie is reportedly gutted. According to a Sun on Sunday exclusive. -
Just because he s paid handsomely doesn't change the fact that he is, essentially, a slave in the modern market. I should sympathise with any human who can be bought and sold at the whim of the owner to whom they are indentured, but I just can't find it within myself.
-
He IS human, after all.

From wiki so pinch of salt warning but wtf indeed. 'The dead and injured were taken from the railway end terrace, with those who had died lain along the touchline and covered in coats. A little under half an hour after leaving the pitch, the game was restarted, with a new sawdust lined touchline separating the players from the corpses. At the end of the first-half, the players immediately changed ends and started the second half. Stanley Matthews was on the Stoke team, and later said he was sickened that the game was allowed to continue' Thank god Stuart Pearce wasn't playing.

Probably not footballers operating the system, so they won't have a clue about intent. It's a technical solution seeking technical confirmation.

Changing the rules to make life easier for the VAR people. No more ambiguity with handballs, if it hits a hand, and it can be seen on camera it's a handball.

Established or not, the question is whether Longstaff is ready to step up. And I have no doubt he'll do fine, under Rafa, who will develop him properly, but I was talking about if Rafa left. We'd likely get some halfwit who expects Longstaff to dominate midfield for 38 games, in a team battling relegation, simply based on the fact that Man U waned him, so he must be quality.
-
I'm speaking about the decision to be made, in relation to his future. I did think the first paragraph was enough to clarify, but just in case I quoted the exact comment which I was replying to.
-
If Rafa leaves he'll be better fighting for a 1st team spot at somebody like them, with the luxury of protecting him from over-exposure, than staying here and taking responsibility for keeping us at 17th. A move to Man U would be very similar to Carrick's move to Spurs, I don't think he ever regretted that.
-
fuckwits Fancy buying an England U21 player, from Bristol City. That's madness.
-
In my opinion, this is infinitely more likely than them giving more control to Rafa. I'm certainly not dismissing it although you'd imagine that if this sort of thing was been done without Rafa's knowledge, he would have fucked Ashley off by now. I'm pretty certain Rafa wouldn't give a shit if it's done without his knowledge.
-
I remain hopeful, as long as Ashley doesn't take him for a curry.

Fabian Schär - signs a one year contract extension on reduced terms (Official)

He is important, but the stats don't tell everything. The games he missed were: Spurs h - loss Cardiff a - draw Man City a - loss Arsenal h - loss Crystal Palace a - draw Leicester h - loss ManU a - loss Brighton h - loss Southampton a - draw Wolves h - loss Liverpool a - loss Chelsea a - loss Bournemouth a - draw Arsenal a - loss We could have changed a few losses to draw and draws to wins. Aye. Most of those games, he likely only missed because Rafa thought he wasn't ready, yet (his early displays had most of us agreeing). Starting the season with our defence as sorted as it is, would fill me with excitement, if I didn't know that Tim Sherwood will sell him on deadline day. -
Aye, swung back and hit us in the face. Or it's a revolving door, and it swung round and hit us in the back. Sending us hurtling forwards to deadline day.
