Matt Ritchie (now Technical Director at Bournemouth)

Or written by a man who joined a Championship club, with no guarantee of promotion. -
I mean, surely if somebody wins the title, they're entitled to bragging rights for a year. Once that year is over, we return to normal, without the chat of Liverpool not winning, which is surely the source of people's irritation.
-
Liverpool for me. I don't understand how anybody could want Man City to win it. Yeah, I also wanted Michael Thomas to score, but that was 1989 after they had dominated for a long time, I got sick of them. It's been fun, watching them get close only to fall at the last hurdle, but I think I can allow them a victory now. They're undoubtedly the best club, in the PL era (does that include the Premiership era?), never to have won, so good luck to them. I just hope we make it tough for them..
-
Fuck the PL era. Pedro has scored more than 46 goals, in the top flight, for us.
-
All 3 of them are pretty shite, but had their moments. I don't particularly remember Guthrie or Gosling being as influential as Barton, but with Barton that influence is a double-edged sword, with no handle.

Dr. Fabian & Mr.Schar -
He's learned that it doesn't matter how much of a cunt he is, there will always be enough people who simply cannot afford the cost of sporting equipment that is essential to the development of their children, and will come humbly, cap in hand to his door.

Nobody called Zaha a 'cheeky monkey'. They called him a 'cheating monkey', which unquestionably racist. -

I don't think 'cheeky monkey' should be considered in the same bracket as 'cheating monkey'. Cheeky monkey is 100% not a racist remark. I like to imagine it's a phrase that is used by black parents, without concern. I'd hate to give them reason to be concerned over such an innocent phrase. Now somebody will probably prove that it was originally a nickname for the little boys that were raped by their colonial masters. -

I'm not trying to make excuses for racist abuse, but I do wonder if some of these people making racist comments especially online are just doing it for attention. I remember a few weeks ago there was a Birmingham fan online making fun of Grealish about his dead brother, he got called out for, but he just continued to dig in and never said sorry. You’re definitely right about that Birmingham fan. The little scrote was clearly loving the attention he was getting. It’s why i can’t stand most forms of social media, it’s turning the human race into a bunch of desperate attention-seekers. No it's not, it's just the perfect place for attention-seekers to congregate. Yes, it is. Even a lot of the low-level stuff is attention seeking. You only have to look at the average Facebook feed to see people writing pointless shit just to get a few likes and comments. You only have to look at the average facebook feed to give them the attention they crave. A tree doesn't fall in the forest, if there is nobody to hear it. It sits down calmly, sighs, and says "oh well". -

Can't even open a fucking door.

He was obviously unaware of the impact his decision would have on the pound's valuation.

People are allowed to change their mind, yknaaa?

The evidence would suggest everybody.

We'll sell him and buy an 18 year old replacement and expect the same level.

Wasn't there a story, in the 80s or 90s, about him running over a milkman?

This is why other clubs laugh at us Why exactly? Because we have a sense of humour?

Various: Mike Ashley in talks with Sheikh Khaled bin Zayed Al Nehayan

He'll probably care more when he sells up, since he'll have his hamfist in every commercial pie going at the club. -
I'll bet his defence is that the group were split according to athleticism.
-
Is it the word 'lot'? If he had said "You should be good at this" would it have been okay?

This just makes me pure sad though. I played as him in World Cup doubles and now he’s not only a stooge of shit regime which you can half forgive but he’s very much likely a daft old bigot. I've no idea how old you are Disco but the world has certainly changed in my lifetime, mostly in the last decade or so and, it seems, at an accelerated pace of late. Its difficult to imagine Beardsley as a bigot considering the wide number of clubs and players he has played with and never a hint of inappropriate behaviour prior to this. There used to be a time people knew when something was said in jest and when it was more nasty. The politically correct world that surrounds us today is bordering on insanity compared to the world I mostly grew up in. I was just listening to a Dean Martin clip last night where he is referring to Sinatra as the 'Dago' and someone else as the 'Jew', everyone was laughing, including the 'Dago' and the 'Jew', because everyone knew Martin wasn't being serious or disparaging. We know playing the 'race card' is an easy thing to do these days but we don't know anything about the youth player that has complained, his character etc. How would you prove the alleged "You lot should be good at this." comment was racial rather than a sports related comment. Only Beardsley knows and unless it comes out there has been a history of inapprpriate comments I'll be reserving judgement. You make a lot of sense, but people can't look beyond that which is on display. He took them to a place called 'Go Ape'. A point which was reported, but is it relevant? If the incident had occured at 'Tree-top Training' would the media have reported the name? Who knows? I struggle to imagine Pedro as racist, like. Having said that, people are wise to hide their prejudices, these days.

Surely, anybody who uses Pardew in a sentence containing the phrase "goals from corners", is automatically assumed to be taking the piss?
-
Can't wait to see him be that happy go lucky while there's PFM's shouting in his face and the crowd calling him a wanker Funny thing is, if the crowd could hear his comments and reasoning they might not be so quick to call him a wanker. The funnier thing is that the crowd WON'T hear him, as it's for TV only. Personally I think changes for the sole purpose of the TV viewer should be avoided, but I can't see that going down well with the money men.
