  1. I'd rather listen to the ref than the commentator.
  2. Ritchie makes contact at 93:02, and the ball hits the net at 93:00. That's how hard he hit it.
  3. Tony Barton has won the European Cup more times than Klopp.
  4. Still got a role to play between now and the end of the season. Making sure we never have to rely on Joselu.
  5. Same as the one Burnley didn’t get though (Ritchie) Can't remember which team it was but wasn't one given for the same thing the weekend before the burnley game. The problem with the referees in the premier, is that there is no consistency whatsoever. Mind the likes of Dean and Mason are just incompetent full stop. Isn't it a bit of coincidence that he was 4th official at the Everton game and was seen getting the wrath or Rafa. I have no doubt he doesn't like our club or Rafa or both Inconsistencies between different refs I could almost accept, but this is blatant inconsistencies from the same refs.
  6. He prevented a goal as well so it should have been a red. No penalty to argue double jeopardy as the punishment is an indirect free-kick.
  7. With all the top quality cameras present in stadia these days, it shouldn't be too difficult to sort this out. But then I remember there used to be a sense that the cameras would often turn away from the scenes. I suppose you can argue hat they are only there to film the football, but surely as a reporting team, of sorts, they have a responsibility to report on these things. Reminds me of the scene in After life, where Tony tells everybody at work about his date, and not one person, in the newspaper office, thinks for a moment that it's newsworthy.
  8. Not the first time the free kick taker has moved the ball back from the spray to get a bit more room.
  9. Aye. If the ref hadn't given the penalty, there is no way MOTD looks at it twice.
  10. I like it when the linesman makes a show checking it's legal. Doesn't run round and check the other side though, does he?
  11. Twice. Yedlin got fouled by Charlie Daniel 1st half and Rondon was held back by his arm by CallumWilson in the 2nd half. I didn't think it was red though. I did think it was a back pass though. Lerma could have gone for a second yellow, quite easily.
  12. Unbelievable end to the game. All game it looked like Ritchie was trying to invent a new way of kicking. Thankfully he stuck to the ole faithful at the death.
  13. As frustrating as it can be, I don't have a problem with him not always being given the ball. That would make us just as predictable as before, whereas his presence gives us that variety of options. He's been brilliant, but he hasn't really drawn too much attention to himself, which is good.
  14. said that to my old man, him having that in his locker brings so much to the team overall it's mental how much difference he's made to us in such a short amount of time Only thing we currently have is nobody in the side to make use of his pace, the only one really able to play the ball over the top is Shelvey and he's not in the team aye been saying the same, it's a problem in that it's a nice one to have if we ever manage to exploit the quality and pace of his runs consistently he'll do some real damage That combination has danger written all over it. When it happens it could be explosive. Like Gillespie and Asprilla vs Barca. Could happen against Arsenal.
  15. Would have definitely taken a point, and it will be argued that it's a fair result, but they scored from a soft penalty, and we should have had a penalty. They could easily have been down to 10 men. All of that means nothing of course, 10 men can still beat 11 blah blah. I guess disappointed to be satisfied is the way I would describe my attitude.
  16. At least one marquee signing would be guaranteed to improve us. Hang on, it'll be Rondon, won't it?
  17. The Express actually flies under the radar a bit because of The Mail. Appalling rag. Every one of them flies under that radar. All appalling rags.
  18. I've just sold Matt Ritchie to Chelsea for 107million. You win! Nah. Cunts have only gone and put a transfer embargo in place, pending a takeover, which collapsed. So mine couldn't be further from unrealistic.
  19. I've just sold Matt Ritchie to Chelsea for 107million.
  20. Agree tbh and Alex Hurst from TF says the same thing. I think Rafa would allow it, but there'd have to be some sort of compromise. What Alex said was hypothetically if there were 10 players Rafa wanted in the next few windows, he'd relent and have 7 or 8 of those 25 or under. But would insist on at least 1 or 2 every now and then, like a 29/30 year old Salomon Rondon, or a 27 year old Lejeune, etc. Surely it's the sensible business plan? Secure your value with a few safe bets, in order that you can speculate on risks.
  21. Sent off tonight He's done that on purpose.
  22. Aye but if you buy promising talent, with a reputation in another country, your resale options are greater than signing billy Caldwell from Bedlington.
  23. And was possibly subjected to some harsh words from Rafa. All the little cunt needs to decide who wins at the weekend.
