I'll brave the dark at St. James' Park, at the Gallowgate end in the rain

Somebody needs to justify their salary existence. it's like they need at least one rule change every year. I'm pretty sure football lasted about 5 millennia with 3 changes, no problem, all of a sudden it's all wrong.

Dunno, McClaren has a well travelled centre parting, running the other way.

Same, he was fine. Gonna be absolutely cringeworthy seeing some of the overreactions if he actually does have a bad game. I wouldn't worry too much, these people aren't very imaginative, they'll probably repeat the same shit again.

Various: Mike Ashley in talks with Sheikh Khaled bin Zayed Al Nehayan

Exactly. You only have to read that letter from Willie McKay to Emiliano Sala to understand the smoke and mirrors that go on in the football world. Suspecting that Kenyon may possibly have been part of Ashley’s f***ing around with is not crazy or tinfoil hat. Thinking Ashley isn’t an inveterate liar is more crazy iyam Except that no one suggested that thinking 'a PR company releasing things to the press, constitutes "conspiracy theorising" - which if you've been in the chat section is basic Sadnesstan straw-manning - or said that Ashley isn't a liar - which would obviously be nuts and literally no one has suggested. In fact Ashley being a liar was put forward as the obvious, non-conspiracy theory, theory. I get what you're saying. So Ashley hired a PR man, who's advice was to release truthful statements to the media, in order to diffuse his reputation as a liar. He's fucking good that Bishop. -
why are these the only 2 options, and what is it you've seen in the last 3 years from rafa that leads you to believe on any level he could be considered gullible? situations are more complex than we see on pre-match interview snippets or whatever shite the papers write, if he stays it could be for a multitude of reasons The fact that he has been here those three years?

"Like all of you" Has every single one of his followers expressed boredom? Could be true, Is'pose. Or he could jus be saying, show's over folks, move along now. But don't stop following me, pleeeeease. -
Changing the rules to make VAR less controversial. Did it hit his hand? Yes. Do we care about anything else, other than the credibility of our product? No. Handball.

Did anybody in the media ever bother to ask Kenyon about it? It strikes me as strange that nobody reporting on the matter thought to ask the horse's mouth. As for the suggestion that thinking a PR company releasing things to the press, constitutes "conspiracy theorising" get tae fuck, what services do you think PR firms provide? I swear people just put "conspiracy theory" in their arguments as a protective measure. -
I've watched the replay and even in slomo it's difficult to see what happens, because it's so fast. So I wouldn't have been surprised by a red. But if you look at the shape of Longstaffs legs just before the tackle, it was perfectly legit.

It's not bi-polar. When we win the positive people have something to say, when we lose the pessimists find their voices. I think the majority are pretty well balanced. TBH, reactions like yours are no less reactionary.

We definitely need quality in wide areas. The spine of the team is top half. We've got options at CB, options in CM and we've also got Rondon at CF. We've got nowt on the wings, really. I'm still hopeful that Manquillo won't turn out to be one of Rafa's duds. He's still young(ish) and room to improve. Going forward we are fucked. We need to sign Rondon, and a suitable back-up/1st choice. There's not going to be much left after that, let's be honest. Unless this is the year that Ashley splurges.

I don't believe they're his parents. I think they discovered him in a public toilet, Since he'd obviously survived the miscarriage it only seemed fair to give him a chance. -
It's a mad set of traits to get that ocd level of detail and still be compassionate and engaging. I still don't think the media or elements of them fully understand him.

What a flattering photo of him, looks like he's just emerged sweat-drenched from the New Monkey at 3am. Surprised he's only 63cm. Reminds me of David Batty in that pic.

The ref could probably book and them send them off for time wasting but not for refusing to be subbed off. Aye that's what I thought would be the simple solution. But I guess since the game was over and the clock no longer ticking he wasn't actually wasting time. I'm not sure what the formalities are for subs at the point, but you would think if the manager has removed him from the field of play then technically he shouldn't be on the pitch. All seems very strange, but football s ful of shite like this now. It'll be a feature on next years Football Manager, then before long everybody will be doing it.

Miss Universe 2019. She can still play for the toon though, yeah?
