Heavily weighted by Joelinton's first 2 years.
-
Maybe having Wilson on the pitch is a factor.

Top bloke. Total gentleman and humble as they come.

i don't think there was ever an issue with awareness, just his selfish decision making. Take Wilson's goal, ordinarily Joelinton's run outside would have created an opportunity for Maxi to cut in and get a shot away, and he would have chosen that. I suppose it might represent some heightened awareness of his best option not always being THE best option. But I honestly think he just thought Meh, let somebody else do something.
-
Should have had an assist. not sure if the defender got there but it looked like a misjudgement from Maxi.
-
I'd say labelling it as "one-off" in the advertising banner that is the tweet, is cynical though.
-
How unlucky for Castore that their failure to design a set of strips for the season has opened the door for a one-off strip, which they will now, due to public demand, have to release.

can still get a tube of pringles for £1 [if you buy two], same price as 1996.

It would be a Gray day for the club.

Ally's army in '78 was my first World Cup and I had Forest and Villa win the European cup in between, but that Brazil team were the first to take my breath away. Socrates, man. the 2-3 vs Italy still one of the best games I've watched.

I'd be comfortable with any of them starting, based solely on our team performances, last season. Obviously I might shit my pants if all 7 started, but that doesn't mean we need replacements for every one of them. The only person that currently needs replacing is Shelvey.
-
Who could resist such a price? Even if it doesn't happen you'd be a mug to miss out on that.
-
We're talking about which purchase we should prioritise, hat part of that implies getting along?
-
Thing is he can't do much worse than his 2 goals in 17.
-
We stayed up because of a huge collective effort, inspired by the coaching team and owners. And fans. I'm not going to argue that with Wood in the team we will get 37 points every 17 games. But he's an adequate substitute when we could spend the money on a first choice CM who will improve the first team in every way. Obviously if we have the money to get both I'd welcome that, but we're talking about priorities. i say we replace the guy who IS injured before we replace the guy who might get injured.
-
I think you're addressing the wrong question. For me the question is can we get along with Wood in the team?
-
Admittedly we could have got 6 more from Chelsea and Everton.
-
It's interesting to talk about who is best, but we'll never agree. When it comes to NUFC players i rate them on their contribution to the club. As such Shearer and Lee sit ahead of Beardsley [just], Ginola and HBA.
-
The fact that Wilson has played 90 mins in the last 2 matches gives me confidence that the medical team have confidence in his level of risk. Shearer had 2 huge injuries but came back to play 5 full seasons at the top. Inevitability is not a guarantee.

Beardsely in his pomp was fantastic at the high press, before it was even a thing.

With Wood in the team we amassed 32 points in 17 games. I

Can't forget Rob Lee, he was the epitome of my best times supporting the club. Although Kilcline will always be my favourite Keegan signing, Lee symbolises the point that we moved on up. The fact he stayed 10 years makes him a legend. And his disallowed goal vs Brentford will remain one of life's unsolved mysteries. If Bruno can stay for ten years he'll be right there next to him. Just with a bit more flair. Cabaye was a star that had already burned brightly, in another galaxy. We got a good few years out of him, but hs legend status belongs elsewhere. When we were signing Bruno I only dared hope for a Cabaye. Now he's been here 6 months I'm dreaming of anther Rob Lee.
-
I forget it's still 3 weeks to go. Not getting even the slightest bit tetchy until it's a week. I hope.

We've got back-up for Wilson, I know Wood isn't anywhere near an adequate substitute, and we need a different approach when he plays, but he is cover. We are currently one midfield injury/suspension away from being forced into using Anderson, before intended. CM is our priority, for me, and is also a position that we can improve upon. I'd spend our money on that position and get a CF in on loan.

I'm taking more about self discipline in the moment, the ability to not cream your pants when you discover you're going to get laid.
