  1. Anybody stand out for Toulouse?

    Dan Burn

Howe's repeated focus on character leaves me convinced that Botman isn't going to throw a hissy fit if Burn keeps him out of the first team. He's probably never heard of Dan Burn before, but he'll appreciate a fellow defender doing a good job. Just mentioning this in response to the idea that he'd be a good mentor.
  3. I can't be doing with people whingeing like. Wait until somebody pokes you in the ear with a dildo, son.
  4. South Gossie roundabout is bad enough as it is. But I don't doubt they've taken such things into consideration. If this happens one would assume it would include a solution to that problem. Could all be part of investing in the city.
  5. He came closest to scoring with his right foot yesterday. I thin it was meant to be a cross, like.
  6. Aye the difference yesterday was otherworldly.
  7. Yeah, but it's like I was saying, he had earned the entitlement to have a crack from there. Wrong decision but wholly forgivable.
  8. Yeah, needs to keep his FB guessing, but I feel he did that yesterday. But let's just pause a minute, and celebrate his most valuable contribution of the game, a simple little pass for Joelinton to assist our second goal. End product.
  9. And they do it well, with the added bonus that Bruno can do what he does. I think he's free enough. We might come unstuck at times, like I say, and if we can get a CDM with Bruno's technical ability then we should sign them. Oh we did. He's Bruno. With three hardworking CMs playing for each other, I don't think you necessarily need that specialist. It would certainly be handy for 4-6 games, but anybody of any quality will want to start every game, and I'd rather take an extra 10 goals, any day of the week. If such things could be guaranteed.
  10. Thing is, if he just spends the first 45 mins playing the team game, everybody will be less frustrated if his individual attempts fail. In fact, you find yourself longing for him to do something. Keeps everybody happy.
  11. we need more goals, not more defensive protection. Maybe for the games against the top sides we need a bit more discipline in that area, but I think beating the top can take priority next year.
  12. All that was missing was the kind f run that led to his goal against Bilbao.
  13. On a par with his performance Vs Everton, but more team focussed. Keeping it up is the aim. I think he needs to be happy in himself, and he should be delighted with his contribution yesterday. He played a blinder yesterday, not because he was brilliant, but because he did the hard work first that entitled him to go a bit more maverick later on. If he keeps up that attitude he'll have a great season.
  14. Not fit to carry O'Brien's golf clubs.
  15. I still get angry about Trelford Mills whenever this game comes up. Can't really blame him for our recent history, though.
  16. "It didn't take til December this year." Just another sign of the change of attitude throughout the club. Imagine making fun of that a year ago, fans would have lynched him.
  17. Have you seen the cunts that Eton churns out?
  18. I don't think it's quite a myth, just the term has evolved over the years. He signed Dalglish and Shearer before the money was rolling in.
  19. Aye. I guess Villa and Everton never had Howe as an option so didn't get to see what they could have won.
  20. 8 months [probably less, I'm guessing] in, His main man walks away? Says it all if you ask me. I've genuinely no beef with Gerrard, or Lampard, I guess they're cursed in a way, with the media building them up. But, as @Abacus says, Rooney is demonstrating that you can go about things discreetly. I often forget he even exists.
  21. The decision to appoint Howe, over Gerrard or Lampard, is without doubt the best decision our owners could have made. Those two were the lazy choices, but we obviously put some thought into it. If every decision is taken with the same fastidiousness we'll be okay. Impatient, but okay.
