Whilst I agree we need better creativity on the wings, our midfield is set up to counter, with little alternative in reserve. We do need somebody who can control the game in the opponents half. Bruno can probably do that, but then you need to replace Bruno. Our trouble is that we need better in almost every area and that isn't happening in one window. I'm prepared to trust Almiron, Fraser and ASM on the wings, it's a nice blend of hard graft and flair, nicely balanced by our WBs. It's easy to forget, given our remarkable run this year, that we haven't seen much of our current best eleven. Almiron has linked up nicely with Bruno, and Krafth [in Trippier's absence]. If he can do the same with Trippier then we improve. Wilson is ten times the player that Wood is, and he improves ASM's contribution. We're really not too far from being a solid top ten team, for this season. And I think a no10 would go further towards guaranteeing that than a RW. Although both would be nice.

It's the first thing I noticed in his videos. I was drooling at the thought of him, Bruno and Joelnton working for each other in the middle. Don't think we need a strictly CDM.

This is exatly what I refer t when I say I'd be comfortable starting the season with the same as we ended the last. In an ideal world we would have all of our targets signed before pre-season begins. But in the real world that is unlikely to happen and there is no reason to panic. We have a good squad, when performing to their best, and a coach who has proven he can get the best out of them. We can introduce our ew signings when they are ready. It might mean losing a bit of ground, early on, and this might mean a lower finishing position, but it's the way to do things.

Both of the last two games he demonstrated how much he can offer this team. He took us to the next level in those games. His mentality is spot on, and if we manage his condition he could well be available for the whole season. I know we were after a lot of big name forwards in Jan, and we might have continued our search if he'd been anything less in those two games. I just wonder if his performances have made it less of a priority. I do think with Wood and an Ekitike type we'll be pretty well covered, can't be afraid of starting Ekitike.

Hopefully they got sick of their own bollocks.
