Two that deserve a mention are Asprilla's in the 3-4 v Liverpool, and Cisse's second v Swansea.

Yeah, this is what I mean. I just think their personal determination to impress might be at the expense of structure. Of course the opposite applies up front, so they might score a few. I'm going 5-4. -

This is my one concern. If they were playing their first team, their minds would be on Europe. But there are a lot of players looking to impress. Hopefully they're too keen and lack composure in defence. ASM, Wood and Almiron running at you when Bruno gets the ball, could destroy them. -

Not worried, personally. Howe will be using him as part of a system that every player will understand. He'll crack one in today. He's come close on a couple of occasions when he's had the rare chance. I think he's getting his confidence back. -

He was showing him a better way to cast-off.

Papiss Cisse: “My son looks at me and says you still think you have a contract at Newcastle United, I tell him it's not about the contract. I am a Newcastle fan now. It's my team, I still love Newcastle United.”

Maybe Qatar are about to do something that leads to sanctions.

I think he's better than a mid table plodder. Was quality under Rafa, in a 3, and showing similar signs in a 2, under Howe. I've thought this about Shelvey and it may apply to Schar. They had no influence over the choice of Bruce as manager, and likely shrugged their shoulders and gave what was demanded of them, nothing. -
Priorities for me are RW, midfield enforcer and somebody to either replace or compliment Wilson. Think that is enough to make the first team top 10 guaranteed [if ASM turns out as I hope], but we'll need back up. Wilson Wood and New boy, should be enough options for next season. Midfield we would have New boy and Bruno, with a pool of Joelinton, Shelvey, Longstaff, Willock and Hendrick [lol], that might do if we're not looking to utilise a 10. But I think we need better back up. On the wings we'd have Fraser, Murphy and Almiron. Happy to persist with Fraser and Almiron, if the new boy is of a higher quality than ASM. Defence is a funny one. I think they're strong enough if we improve the attack with match winners, but we need better back up, so why not just buy better first teamers? I guess it depends how much we have to spend.

Not one for the politics of envy, but that's exactly what it is. He's got every right to "look" smug. The man is loving life.
-
This could be interesting actually. I was going to question whether it could detect when the ball leaves the foot, but this would give the attacker a fraction of an advantage.

Window is shut anyway.

Emil Krafth to leave club at end of the season (Official)
Happinesstan replied to Nobody's topic in Football
As I say, not a priority, but Trippier is likely to be the first of our new look team to need replacing, so it kind of makes sense that our first future star is in that position, for continuity purposes. Maybe I'm getting ahead of myself. -

Think [least of our priorities but if an option becomes available] we should get a youngster in, to learn from Trippier. Probably means offloading Manquillo, but it's probably better for him if he goes somewhere as first choice. -

That's good enough for me. It has been clear that Manquillo has struggled with his opportunities, I think he takes a couple of games to find his level, which isn't much good for a back up. Whereas Krafth seems to step in quite comfortably.
