Page 119 a record for a signing to happen?

I’m not overly familiar with what happened with the Trust in the instance you’re talking about, but I would say it’s almost certainly different people running it to when that happened, and there’s no question they are the group with the best chance of getting a sympathetic ear from the club.
-
Well, it would be need to be done through the Trust or another large body that could bring a number of fans in the same situation together. I think trying to do it on your own just gets you fobbed off. The main overriding point should be that loyalty points were taken away as it was said that you needed to own a ST to have/accrue them. Now, by offering members a point for attending Celtic, they’re saying this isn’t the case. You’re probably going to have a situation where there’s someone who used to have X points in the past, which they lost when giving up their ST, now being allowed to have/accrue points again, even though they haven’t got their ST back. It doesn’t make sense. All that said, I’m unsure how far back they’ll have stuff recorded on the system? I know some people can still see the points they used to have on their account, but may not be the case for everyone.

Tbf, what were Eddie’s actual quotes relating to moving quickly? Could be wrong, but he didn’t actually say ‘we need to bring players in quickly’, did he? I think one of the worst things about what happened with Guehi was the fact that by the time we finally established it wasn’t happening, it was too late to move onto anything else significant. For all of the apparent ’failures’ so far, the good thing is that they have been established with plenty of time to move onto something else. Could that have been what he was referring to, that we need to move quickly so we don’t have no time to move onto the next target?
-
It is. So they’ll have to change the criteria to make them of any value.
-
Where did you see that? edit - just found it on Twitter. Interesting. If I was a member who was previously a ST holder who lost their points when they gave up their ST, I’d be making a strong case I should get them back….

Because we can’t just hoy money at it willy nilly. If we’d offered Mbeumo 350k a week he might have said he wanted to come here. Same with Pedro. But, apart from it being a stupid way to go on, PSR prevents us from doing that.
-
Not seen anyone say we’ve only got PSR room for one player? I suspect by the end of the window we will have four players that strengthen the squad. Those players won’t be on a level that Burnley or Sunderland have buying though.
-
Is that a serious question?

Need - no Beneficial - a bit

RyDog says we initially said no, but his representatives have come back to us again. Not sure how likely that sounds?

Without knowing exactly what’s gone on in the background for the last 7 weeks, it’s a bit harsh to claim they’ve been “wasted”. If Elanga signs tomorrow, then that’s obviously something that’s been worked on in the previous seven weeks. Might even take all of the window (hopefully not) to get someone that we’ve been trying weeks and weeks for.
-
Nah. Forest are selling Ramon Sosa to Palmeiras, but only for more or less what they paid for him last summer, so don’t think that moves their PSR needle and likely means nothing for Elanga.

Was he limping?

He’s 28

This is the modern world though. Everything has to happen NOW. You see it all the time with managers under pressure because they don’t get results immediately. We did it with Eddie. It’s not just football either. Imagine a politician was trying to get elected and he/she said, ‘choose me and although it might take me two or three years to turn things around, it will be much better after that’. They’d get laughed out of town.

He has questionable fashion sense and Everton fans don’t like him. Not a chance someone with that background could ever be a success here…

Been a superb signing overall. Along with ASM, kept us in the league during a very dark period. Don’t think it’s a wild exaggeration to say we might not be where we are now without his goals. Best of luck to him wherever he ends up 🫡

Going off last season I think Eddie has Ruddy ahead of Vladdy. Agree with everything else though.
