  1. How many goals do Villa need to win by to overtake us? 😬😂😂
  2. Neutral site playoff between three teams?
  3. What happens if it’s a three-way tie on everything??
  4. Aye. However, if Chelsea were to finish 7th but win the Conference League, thus qualifying for the Europa, the single Conference League place would go to 8th.
  5. Ryder claiming he was on 150k p/w 😬 https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/newcastle-united-agree-first-transfer-31687829

In a sense, that applies to everyone really. If someone was to bid £300m for Isak, we’d (probably rightly) sell him. So, I suppose no player is ever truly “untouchable”, it’s just that the level of offer required to make us sell, isn’t really realistic for some players.
  7. You may well be right, and I’d like to think there’d be a bit of a tone shift once it’s formally announced he’s leaving.
  8. Of course, but it probably comes down to how it’s expressed I suppose (even though that probably comes across as a bit thin-skinned). “I think it’s probably time for him to move on” feels a lot different to “wish he would just fuck off”.
  9. People often bemoan a lack of loyalty from players, obviously Trent at Liverpool being the most recent example. But look at this thread. How much loyalty is there from fans to players? Once a player is seen as no longer being up to scratch it’s “get rid”, “fuck him off” etc. It’s hardly surprising players nearly always look after themselves first and foremost.
  10. Such a chip on his shoulder.
  11. He wasn’t on Sunday when he came on, he was shite. But I will admit to not seeing a great deal of him/Everton in general, so perhaps that was just an isolated poor cameo. Although if he’s so much better than Doucoure, surely he would be getting picked ahead of him?

    Seems like a dickhead.
  13. Hopefully that Alcaraz who came on for him on Sunday, as he looked dreadful.

You would think it unlikely definitely, but we’ll surely be playing the ‘Eddie Howe turns players into England internationals’ card. Whether that’s enough to trump a near-guaranteed starting place and an additional X £ p/w, probably not, but you never know.
  15. Yep, that goal has helped ease a lot of the permutations.
  16. I often take the opinion of a Malaysian living in Australia with a fetish for anime, as a good gauge of the opinion of the entire fanbase.
  17. If folk don’t like the amount of time Gordon spends rolling about on the floor, wait til they get a load of this cunt.
  18. @Erikse is right though in that should they win tonight and move on to 68, there isn’t a realistic scenario where it’s Man City who stop us getting top 5. As in, we’d have to win to overtake them, and if we win it’s effectively all good anyway.

Eddie is on record as saying he likes a certain number of keepers in his keeper pool for training purposes. That’s probably one too many this season because of Vladdy, but that is what it is. Gillespie is paid to be part of that pool, at a higher standard than a junior could provide, albeit obviously not really that near the level of the main guys. He also, it seems from looking from the outside, appears to be a popular member of the squad, that adds to squad togetherness, which Eddie values. Given his wages a likely to be fairly insignificant in the grand scheme of PSR, there seems little point in peddling him until his level starts to drop, he no longer wants to do it, or we get a kid coming through with a genuine chance of making it.
  20. In the last however many years I’ve lost count of the number of players they’ve signed who should have improved them significantly, but it just never happens. Maybe he’ll be the one, but I wouldn’t be banking on it.
