Tbh if you’re Dubravka in this situation and you’re not trusted to play the next 20/25 games, there’s no point in you being here. It’s not like he’s accepted he’s in a position like Karius or Gillespie where he’ll only ever play a small handful of games at most, should particular circumstances arise. And from our point of view, there’s no point in paying a reserve keeper ~40k a week if we don’t trust him to play that number of games.

Mahrez has the best first touch I can recall (quite possibly some recency bias there), like silk. But agree, Trippier’s is phenomenal as well, often allows him to get 2 or 3 extra yards away from someone closing him down, which then allows him half a second extra to pick out a perfect pass.

Also will be marking the oppositions biggest aerial threat at set pieces, whereas Trippier will likely be on someone shorter.
