  1. Commentary-less UEFA highlights should be up on there tomorrow at some point.
  2. Surely he’s off to Madrid next season? Whack him through the middle instead of Joselu and he’s got to improve in a (bit) more competitive league.
  3. Tiote only got 14 because Pardew didn’t play in the last game (or two?) of that season so he wouldn’t be suspended at the start of the next season. Perch got 5 in his first 5 games for us, which was quite some going.
  4. Tbh, if you familiarise yourself with the resale element and all the F5’ing business you’ll get one in the week running up to Dortmund no bother if last night is anything to go by.
  5. Presumably someone bought it off the club at FV and then put it on the third party site at considerably more than FV?
  6. Wonder if a Pot 4 team has ever had a bigger victory over a Pot 1 team?
  7. Greyed out on BBC Sounds so doesn’t look like that’s a goer either.
  8. Got them for Milan, so would assume so. edit - actually no we didn’t, so probably not
  9. Dortmund (h) ballot opening at 10am today

    Match Atmosphere

Got in (Leazes) about 45/50 mins before ko. Never in my days have I known the concourse like that so long before ko. Absolutely rammed. People singing. I knew at that point it was going to be something special. When you get a team that knows how to harness and use that atmosphere, it’s amazing. A word on the PSG fans - totally agree with what someone said elsewhere about generally not being a fan of the contrived atmosphere that these European clubs create - BUT - fair fucks to them last night as they were pretty relentless, and you can’t say they didn’t add to the occasion, especially leading up to ko, when they were great. I actually thought that in a way they helped us. Thinking back to the semi final last season when you had that period for a lot of the second half, where you could almost feel a really nervous sense of disquiet sweep across the stadium, it could have been like that after they scored last night. But when you’ve got some mad fucker relentlessly banging a drum that sounds like machine gun fire, you don’t get the same uneasy eeriness. Also final word on Wor Flags. Had the pleasure of having @Heron and crew not far in front of us doing the ‘We are the Geordie Boys’ sign. Singing non-stop pre-display. A particular highlight being ‘you can shove your Eiffel Tower up your arse’ ?

Not that I can really remember, but you’re probably right as I think they only lifted the alcohol ban at CL matches about 5 years ago.

    Match Atmosphere

The Barcelona game was the best atmosphere I’ve ever experienced. Genuinely felt as if the stadium was shaking. And that was at 36k. I have wondered whether it was actually as good as I remember, as I was relatively young at the time, but then I see the clips on TV again, and I feel reassured it’s not just my memory playing tricks.
  15. Mate has just told me a couple of PSG fans have been in Morrisons in Byker. No word on whether they’re calling up to the Raby for pre-match pints.
  16. It is, but it’s very difficult to believe there’d be more available seats in 1 or 3 than there is in 2. You could argue that everyone realises this and therefore goes for 2, but still, if your main concern is just getting a ticket somewhere in the ground, and you’re not overly bothered where, you’d go for 2 all day IMO.

This is correct course of action…

Hopefully when it’s time for the anthem they crank the speakers up to DJ Otzi level.
  19. Man Utd having a good go at making sure it stays at 4 rather than 5 places for next seasons CL…
  20. Not sure about ‘easily’ like. Ignoring what Chelsea do but because they’re being run by idiots at present, the players that are going for that amount of money are incredible. Even Rice, who you might not say is ‘incredible’, has clearly made Arsenal, who finished second, a better team when he plays.
  21. For context, there’s been 11 transfers in history over £100m.
  22. No I don’t think so, as tickets won in the ballot are officially non-transferable.
