Can’t do that now unless we want a player off the pitch for a minimum of 30 seconds

Champions League 2023/2024: Group F (Newcastle, Milan, Dortmund, PSG)

I think we all know the chances of that actually happening… -
It has to happen at some point. 44 years and counting.

EFL cup third round draw on Wednesday. Obviously gone under the radar a bit with the CL the day after. Maybe we’ll get Sunder….ah never mind.

You’re assuming UEFA haven’t made this the most complicated process known to man… -

Just the groups seems to be the general consensus -
The Premier League trophy is being ‘showcased’ at Morrisons in Byker today (yes really) should anyone wish to get their photo taken with it. You also have the added option of then walking up the road and getting smacked off your tits in the Raby (clientele displayed in linked FB vid): https://www.facebook.com/100029121996534/videos/welcome-to-byker-/681783610522694/

Unfortunately not with the ball.

Agree on Riviere. He had nothing. Wasn’t good at anything. And the audacity of that celebration against QPR after the state of the ‘goal’.
-
Quite harsh on Colback actually, who had a reasonable first season before going to complete shite.
-
He came in the same window as Lewis and Hendrick, so there’s two worse without even thinking about previously.
-
Out of contract after this year, so that much would be pushing it I’d say.

Hopefully the first game is at home. Less than three weeks for the club to sort tickets and fans to sort holidays, travel and accommodation sounds like a nightmare. -

I’m sure when we were away to Juventus they played Cambridge or someone of that ilk. -
You might be right, but there’s quite a lot of tactical discipline to take on if you were going to take the Burn role. Howe’s spoken before about Burn kind of making a back three when Trippier goes forward. Not saying Hall can’t do that, or that we’d even play the same with him in the side, but I think you have to expect it to take a little while for him to truly understand how he has to perform tactically. That’s without taking into account Burn’s intangible leadership qualities.

Not saying you’re wrong, but it’s difficult to get your head around a situation where we’re saying ‘no, we can’t play at home to Real Madrid that day because Sunderland are at home to Hull’.
