These kind of transfers always end up being loans right at the end of the window

I’d suggest none whatsoever

? Probably the two that caused us the biggest problems when you beat us.

Champions League 2023/2024: Group F (Newcastle, Milan, Dortmund, PSG)

Think they’ve been streamed on UEFA TV previously? -
His mouth piecing got the deal moving for us. Well done Luke.

In association with Baldwards going off Yorkies first post in this thread

The difference between here and Wembley, apart from the amount of fans, is that Wembley was a one off. If the threat of being checked stopped a few using tickets that weren’t theirs, it was job done. Here, if people go to the first couple of aways and there’s no checks, you’ll almost immediately end up back to the situation where people are using others tickets willy nilly. In fact, if anything, I’d expect the checks at the first couple of games to be on the heavy side, to try and reinforce the threat, then it might ease off a bit.

If it had of been based on 3 or 5 year performance/coefficient like most of the UEFA stuff, we’d have been about nailed on for one of the places, but with it just being this coming season, it’s obviously more in jeopardy. Having said that, you’d still strongly expect it to be two out of us, Italy and Spain.

It’s dependent on how teams from each country do in Europe this season. Two that perform the best both get an extra CL spot.

Everyone that gets relegated needs money. Just a question of how much.

No one can keep a PL squad in the Championship unless they weren’t paying PL wages in the first place. And given how long Southampton have been in the PL, I’m sure they were. Whether Livramento is one of those they cut free remains to be seen, but no chance they can keep everyone.

Not bringing this up as a defence of the club (although it’s going to come across like that…), but in that TF interview, Silverstone said something along the lines of ‘digital ticketing normally takes six months to implement, and we’re trying to do it in six weeks’. Now, firstly, they’ve probably had more than six weeks, and even ignoring that, it begs the question, why not just wait until next season? However, it leads me to believe that some (not all) of the decisions taken have been done so out of necessity to get something in place, rather than being as calculated and hard-nosed as some of us fear. Maybe I’m being overly generous there, and the proof either way will be in how things evolve going forward, but if you were struggling for something to be optimistic about following the last few days, that might be something to cling on to.

I mean, aye, they’ve been relying on him massively, but still, relegated? Howay man.
-
They could be, but I very much doubt they’ve downgraded any of the teams that were previously in top category, so it’s going to be an increase whichever way you look at it.

Yeah, and he’s now downloaded mine to his wallet, even though I’d already put it in mine. The two tickets are linked online with a ‘strong relationship’ on the ticket site. Again, don’t know if that makes a difference ??♂️

Yeah, it would take a miracle set of results for us to end up in Pot 3. Rangers should be bold as well. -
As per Paully‘s post, Silverstone says is this interview we’ve sold over 50k memberships (that’s how I take what he’s said anyway, is there another interpretation?), which is an incredible number IMO, certainly more than I expected, even if it’s a bit less than the Twitter ITK’s claimed, and not quite Burnsie’s 200k+.

They’ve got to play Molde in the last round haven’t they? -
My mates ticket seems to have downloaded fine for me? Showing in my wallet anyway. I paid for it (officially) like, not sure if that makes a difference, but everything connected to it is in his name.
-
Hmmm. I’m gonna try with my mates now then.
-
Yes, it seems so.

Not that I’m advocating this in any way, but…. I think we might find that people start keeping their digital ticket on a old(er) phone, that could easily be passed to someone in the same way a card would have been.
