Worth remembering he only turned 17 in May as well. I’d very surprised if there’s many, if any, players of his age in the country playing at the standard he’s currently at.

He’ll not be playing in that if he’s part of the first team squad. Suppose if we don’t get much in the way of injuries he might not always be making the squad, but at the minute he’s certainly looking like he’s capable.

For me, the drop off from Tripper to Kraft/Manq/Ashby* is probably greater than the drop off from Schar to Lascelles. *obviously factoring in we’ve never really seen Ashby, and assuming he’s not mint.

As it stands, a good a CL run and half decent runs in the domestic cups, Lascelles is playing 10+ games. Absolutely no way Howe entertains the idea of someone who he doesn’t deem capable playing that much. Regardless of how good he is around the group.

Well in the sense that he isn’t a pure dribbler (see ASM, HBA) but he beats a man with give and goes or pace onto through balls, yes. I think just looking at his numbers would probably suggest he’s a bit more clinical than Miggy though.
