  1. Looks like it’s straight to the group stage as well: https://kassiesa.net/uefa/AccessList2024.html
  2. Additional two teams in the revamped version of the ‘group stage’. One each to the countries with the best coefficients, of which we’re very likely to be one. Not sure whether you’d have to go through the qualifiers if you finish 5th, but will definitely get you in a some entry point.
  3. 5th gets you CL next season. Still a tall order but does increase the chances.
  4. Would be Tier 0 in the Reliability thread
  5. I generally go here: https://www.capology.com/player/ferran-torres-36585/ You’re right though, there’s often loads of differing numbers so you can never treat anything as an absolute
  6. £170k? Think that would be at the very, very extreme end of what we could/would go to.
  7. Wages probably too high unless he was willing to take a bit of a drop
  8. Imagine how good the new training facilities will be when they eventually arrive…
  9. Don’t suppose anyone got a place on that club ticket workshop next Tuesday? I did apply but no luck in the ballot.
  10. Exactly, we all would. Until something is explicitly put in place to prevent it, he/she is obviously going to carry on as they always have.
  11. You can argue that (with a degree of justification admittedly), but ultimately it’s just someone doing the donkey work of accruing the points so a different NUFC can go (making the assumption that those ‘mates’ taking the tickets are genuine fans). I would agree that’s probably questionable that the system is allowed to work like that, but I don’t see it as something to be outraged about.
  12. Absolutely, and it’s why people have to realise we can’t get players in on £200k p/w (yet). You can spend ~£60m on an Isak-type player and be able to pay them £100k/£120k p/w, which we can obviously do. But what we can’t do is spend ~£60m on someone like Marco Asensio or Ansu Fati who would probably command £200k+ p/w (those two might be poor examples, but you see what I mean).
  13. I mean your phone being dead being a problem is kinda obvious… From what I remember when the mackems twisted about this (granted I’m a bit hazy on it), I think they were told the club would install charging points near turnstiles so people could get a quick charge which would be enough to get switched on and inside (no idea whether this has been confirmed like).
  14. Without knowing who it is, I would doubt the situation has occurred with the aim of the person gaining financially.
  15. They aren’t actually doing anything wrong as the rules stand…
  16. Obviously that’s just ridiculous. But the idea that Eze and Gravenberch are in a ‘Galaticos’ list with Neymar and Kane has tickled me.
  17. Is it? Mackems seem to be more advanced than that: https://www.eticketing.co.uk/safc/Common/CustomPage/Index/3
  18. That may well be true, but given they’ve recently spent the thick end of £150m on CB’s, you’d have to question how likely it is?
  19. In Gordon’s intro video where they show him meeting everyone, Ashworth greeted him with something along the lines of, ‘I’ve been a big fan of you for a long time’.
  20. You can’t say someone would have been a good signing if they’d only cost half the price man ?
  21. We’ll have to wait and see, but I’m expecting it to be more sophisticated than that.
  22. Yeah, it seems you can list ‘eligible’ people to use your ticket in your absence. Not clear exactly how, or how many people you can list yet. Suppose it means you can’t just give to someone on a whim. Although having said that, I very much doubt any match day ID checks are going to be extensive.
  23. The mackems went through all this carry on when they announced they were introducing it. ‘What about X, what about Y’ etc. etc. There will be a (very) small amount of fans who, for whatever reason, wouldn’t be able to use digital tickets, and the club should work with them on an individual basis to find a solution. The rest of us (the vast, vast majority) will just have to get on with it. The club needs to be embracing modern technology, and in two years time we’ll not even think twice about using a digital ticket. On top of that, it makes touting far harder, which can only be a good thing.
