Probably the best atmosphere I’ve ever experienced. Hard to explain to people but it genuinely felt like the stadium was physically moving from the noise

Surely there’s more chance that the atmosphere is just flat or listless, rather than toxic? Which might actually help us in all fairness.

Everybody completely ignoring the fact that if he doesn’t get brought down he’s in on goal and probably wins the game for us.

Very much doubt there’ll be any form of waiting list until any expansion is confirmed.

I mean, aye, you always have to take any figures in reports like this with a massive pinch of salt. But anywhere near that figure would seem excessive for almost anyone we’d be signing, let alone someone who is in the Bruno/Botman ‘good but could become really good’ mould (suppose he’s probably a notch or so further in his career than they were).

Having said that it could be the package that includes various bonuses or something to get to that number, rather than simply standard wage?

Wilson definitely looked like he was gonna take it on Sunday mind. I know everyone’s bang into pretending one player is taking it to protect the real taker now, but looking at body language I was 90% sure it was Wilson, had it stood.

Off the top of my head he was first with Wood and Pope. At least in saying the deal was done (maybe not with linking them, although Wood was completely out the blue anyway). Could have been others but can’t remember now.

Tbf, in the last couple of windows, he’s ‘broke’ more transfers than any other journo. Just because he’s sometimes a bit of a condescending prick, doesn’t mean we should ignore the fact he’s near enough the best connected when it comes to transfers.

If memory serves, there was a bit of unrest amongst Inter fans, I think related to their ownership, and there was a sort of boycott, but not really a boycott (we’ve all been there…) going on, so they were happy to more or less give us as many tickets as we wanted.

Actually, I’m saying this but now I’m doubting myself as whether I’m getting confused with the initial time we were in the CL under KD? I had a ST then and went to all three games, but under BR I didn’t have a ST and just bought tickets on a match-by-match basis (think I went to all of them except Kyiv). So not sure whether that 3-match thing was in place for ST holders then? Maybe that was just to guarantee your own seat or something? Is there a standard pricing policy for CL games now, or can you charge what you want as long as you charge away fans the same for equivalent seats?

For the group stage you had to commit to buying a ticket for all three games. So minimum outlay of about £100. Different times now though. Even if they did that again (obviously they wouldn’t), they’d still sell out no bother

Could absolutely see this. Within range on both (presumed) price and wages, and playing style/attributes would appear to fit our system.

It’s actually illegal to sell UK football tickets for more than FV. The reselling sites somehow get round it by breaking the extortionate price they charge into added extras like booking/admin fee etc (if anyone fully understands how they get away with it, I’d be interested to hear an informed explanation).

The club doesn’t have the final say over where away fans are put (although I’m sure they have an input). Ultimately it’s down to the local SAG.

Take your point, but there’s no way the majority of ST holders choose to pay the extra membership fee if you make it optional.
