  1. I think most would agree that seems fair enough. Or at the very least make it optional (paying the extra for member privileges) rather than mandatory.
  2. Something nice for @Heronto hear around the 18 min mark
  3. I’m not sure that was ever confirmed? People just made assumptions to suit whichever point they were arguing. Regardless, I’m sure it was done to death on here at the time, so let’s not start it off again.
  4. I’m not sure that was same ballot mind?
  5. And the manner it which it came made it all the more grand.
  6. Yeah, I don’t think many would argue against that principle, but in the grand scheme of things to argue about in terms of how the tickets were allocated, it’s probably fairly low down the priority list.
  7. There was very, very few people ‘who’d been to one cup game’ that got a ticket for the final (through legitimate means) mind.
  8. Szoboszlai certainly fits the Bruno/Botman mould in terms of wages. Could probably double what he currently gets and still be comfortably inside our structure.
  9. We’re actually the shorter price with bookies, which says something about how far we’ve come.
  10. Think most opposition fans would rather have seen Everton drop before Leeds. Reckon this will probably have reversed that.
  11. First game, Man City away. Get battered 7-0. Yes please.
  12. For context we took 11 out of the last 15 points available in 95/96. There was no great collapse at the end, despite the narrative that tends to be pushed.
  13. That’s completely the wrong mentality to take with transfers. It’s why Man Utd in particular have been so so poor with recruitment in the last ~10 years. Internally, you have to place an upper limit on a player you want, if you can’t get him within that limit, move on. Regardless of any external factors.
  14. It will be interesting to see what they do in the summer. I know we all joke about FFP not applying to them, but it still does, and despite the all the ridiculously long contracts, they’ve got to be pretty much at the limit. That’s before you factor in the fact that their pressing squad need is an actual proper CF, so signing Maddison, or anyone of is ilk, is surely secondary.
  15. If Man Utd or anyone else are paying £60m for James Maddison with one year left on his contract, that’s utter lunacy.
  16. Wouldn’t necessarily blame Marriner as it was so late, possible to miss in real time, but if VAR can’t see it, what’s the fucking point?
  17. Tbf he did also have that belting assist for Joelinton’s goal in the semi final at Southampton
  18. The two great big hopes of Dutch football in the last 10 years, Depay and Van De Beek. Moved to Man Utd and both moves were complete and utter disasters. Tbf Timber is hardly in the same category, but you’d still think it would have been noticed.
  19. Surely young Dutch players are becoming wary about going to Man Utd now?
  20. ‘We know he’s shit, but fuck it, it doesn’t make any difference now anyway’
  21. Was noticeable he paired up with Gordon on all the drills in the warm-up yesterday. Proper captain.
  22. Goodison. Under the lights. Completed it mate.
  23. You’re right, but the Player of the Year is about to be a Scandinavian.
  24. Safe pair of hands. Knows the club…
  25. Given his contract situation, they do need to sell if they want to get full value for him.
