  1. Yeah, now he’s enrolled on the course they don’t have to pay the fine.
  2. Yes, ultimately that’s always the case with any ‘fan’ group. However, there really shouldn’t be any need to see these as two competing groups. I won’t hold my breath though.
  3. Without wanting to get into individuals involved, NUST and this new group are/should be totally separate types of groups. It shouldn’t be a case of supporting or picking one or the other. If both are ran properly (yes, I know), there’s no reason for them not to happily co-exist.
  4. Indeed. Buzzing to be going back to Burnley on a Monday night next season….
  5. If Arsenal were to lose at Man City, then drop points against Chelsea (yeah, Chelsea are bobbins I know…), you’d have to think that would be the title race over going into their match against us.
  6. If Lenglet’s knackered will they still play three CB’s? Bit risky playing Sanchez after everything that went on yesterday.
  7. It should be remembered that in that game at Everton last season we were much the better team and should really have won. Yes, their crowd were quite raucous but the only real effect on the game came when that knacker tied himself to the post.
  8. Side note - does anyone know why the fuck Dave Allen the boxer was doing the half time challenge!?? ?
  9. Hmmmm, slightly iffy logic (mathematically if nothing else), but let’s run with it. We’ll piss it.
  10. Ended up with two tickets in the directors bit today. Some of the passing and movement was really nice, even little bits from Bradford occasionally. But the goalkeeping, dear me. Don’t want to sound harsh, because it’s a recurring theme in the women’s game from the limited bits I’ve seen. We scored three goals from corners, and one from a free-kick into the box. All headers in the six yard box. The lass in goal for Bradford just couldn’t or wouldn’t come off her line. I mean she didn’t look very big in fairness, but clearly seemed to be a tactic of ours to just float set pieces towards her.
  11. Sssshh. You’re not allowed to mention the money that Man Utd spend. It’s only ever ‘big-spending Chelsea’, ‘big-spending Manchester City’ and now ‘big-spending Newcastle’. If you’re talking about Man Utd, you simply have to refer to the ‘wonders’ ETH has done with the most expensive squad in the league.
  12. Doubt they could afford to lose him from the home grown numbers needed
  13. Wages reportedly £110k p/w which is doable. Contract not up anytime soon so no pressure for Arsenal to sell, and they may feel the need for quality cover with CL next season. They have got Nuno Tavares out on loan like, so may depend what they want to do with him. Probably comes down to whether he wants to push to be away to be first choice somewhere.
  14. The £170k p/w he’s on now probably says no
  15. Wages are always going to be an issue for us in the short to medium term. We’re already at over 90% wages to turnover ratio, and although we’ll have some lovely new sponsorships sorted soon, they won’t be a silver bullet. If you bring in someone on £200k+ p/w, then if you’re Bruno’s agent you’re saying, “we know what your wage structure allows, he needs to be around the top as well”. It’s going to take a little while yet before we can start offering those kind of numbers
  16. For 15, yes they would, if the 15th card came in the last three league games. Pardew once didn’t play Tiote in the last game of the season because he was on 14
  17. More concerned about Joelinton getting 15 and a three match ban before the end of the season tbh
  18. If there was one person who springs to mind when talking about ‘taking the fun out of football’, that miserable twat would be right at the top of the list.
  19. Did he? Fair enough. Although he was probably in the top 5 players in the world at that point.
  20. Sadly not, will have to wait until Everton. Although I suspect non-stop support of Anthony Gordon might go down better there…
  21. Exactly this. We need to realise we can’t/won’t be signing players already on in excess of £200k p/w. Obviously we will increase our wage structure over time, but it’ll be gradual and we won’t be putting anyone on double what anyone else is on
  22. Arsenal now playing Chelsea the midweek before they play us. Tuesday to Sunday so not like it’s a quick turnaround for them, but still a small advantage for us.
  23. Still got my 95/96 shirt with ‘Champions’ on the back
