The build-up to that 6-2 game was quite something. There was a genuine feeling that if we won, we could possibly win the league. Then Jenas scores an absolute raker and the place is going mental, before Scholes decided to put on an absolute clinic in finishing ?

He has zero career red cards.

It’s 100% an issue for us moving forward, when you consider who a lot of the current homegrown players in the squad are. Lascelles, Ritchie, Dummett, Darlow, Fraser, Lewis are all coming to the end of their time here (bit harsh on Lascelles possibly). Even Wilson, Trippier and Burn probably aren’t long term players. We have to replace some, if not most, with other homegrown players.

0-2 McTominay (37, 63)
-
Interestingly in the four seasons he’s played significant games, they’ve finished 3rd, 2nd, 6th and 3rd. Now you can easily say that’s in spite, rather than because of him, but there’s no question that’s the finishing places we’re targeting.

Anyone got the balls to start a SMc thread?
-
The question is would signing McTominay generate more debate/argument/bitching on here than signing Gordon did?
-
I think it’s more likely he’s lost confidence in his body

We are slight favourites to beat Man Utd. Would imagine we’ll be stronger favourites against Spurs (depending on how the next month goes obviously). Possibly not against Arsenal though.
-
Nah, Spurs are done in all other comps, hence Conte’s rant about never winning anything
-
May as well add Mbappe to the first list…
-
Look at the remaining teams. I’d probably make West Ham favourites against all of them
-
West Ham winning the Conference League won’t have any impact on the qualification places will it?
-
If that was the case why did he get himself booked for standing over Trippier? ?
-
Problem is there’s no one like that this season. In fact Forest playing away from home are probably the closest to it. It’s an absolute toss up, although I’d be pretty astonished if Everton went down with Dyche.

That’s the best piece of shithousery I’ve ever seen. Absolutely elite.

Everyone counts ST holders that don’t go mind. Not that there’s any sensible reason for Sunderland to have substantially more ‘non-local’ ST holders that anyone else like.
-
They volunteered in the knowledge that they would be forced if they didn’t

I’m not sure everyone telling me I’m some kind of c*nt is ever the attention I’d like.

You have to wonder why anyone puts themselves through the hassle of being on any form of fans group (and I’m not saying this as a criticism or defence of anyone). Inevitably seems like you get endless amounts of stick (whether deserved or not). Personally you couldn’t pay me to get involved.

Giving this a bump to try and save some unnecessary waffle in the transfer rumours thread. Anyway, Declan Rice…
-
He really was incredibly bad, albeit against tough opposition.
-
It’s a valid point. And probably one that is/was relevant to Howe. But, in short, impossible to answer until said manager gets a gig with one of the big(ger) lads.
-
For all Palace have been absolutely woeful in an attacking sense, they very rarely lose ‘easily’. Last 10 games have been 5 draws and 5 one goal defeats.
-
First set of questions sorted for Howe’s next press conference then…
