How can they do that? Surely any card only scans once per game, so there’s only one person going in per card?

Needs to avoid 5 yellows in the last 10 games or it’s a 3 game ban

Be interesting to see how the digital ticket thing goes. Feels like a fairly inevitable outcome for us at some point. Will obviously be met with some resistance, particularly in the East Stand you would have thought, but there really can’t be that many match goers who don’t have even the most basic of smartphones.

Still don’t think it beats Bew Camp

Anyone got the Brent/Gareth “go and get the green and gold scarves image”?

Or asking why he’s seeing Ibrahimovic on a list of transfer targets

Do June and July count? Bit of a pisstake if they do.

Brighton’s fixture congestion starting to look pretty bad now.

Agree on the Leeds match last season. That was probably as close as I can remember to an ‘old school’ away day as are often recounted. Horrendous overcrowding getting in, piss-poor ‘facilities’, a tense, raucous away end and a fairly poor game, settled by a scruffy goal.

Just a heads up that the 14/15th October is international break, so there definitely wouldn’t be a match that weekend.

Says “several months” in the article. *it also happens to mention that Wilson is “battling a niggling injury”

As far as I’m aware they’re stuck where they are on the advice/order of the local Safety Advisory Group (SAG), rather than any decision by the club.

I do agree with this wholeheartedly. Having been to the odd game around Europe, it does feel like the rest of the stadium just sits and watches the ‘Ultras’ bounce up and down. Which is nothing compared to SJP (or other British stadiums) when we get an occasion where the whole place takes off. Having said that, still massively in favour of a large standing section, doesn’t necessarily have to be about Ultras being in there.

I think the key to all of it, which you’ve more or less pointed out, is to get like-minded (maybe like-behavioural is a better phrase) folk together one way or another. Exactly how you go about that could be a bit of a minefield if you start having to forcibly relocate people, but that’s where the difficult decisions have to be made.

Good post. Accept your point about not having faith in NUST - but - they (along with Wor Flags to an extent) are the ones with the ear of the club. If you were to put the majority of what you’ve posted in an email (or other communication) to them, you never know. If there’s particular members you have an issue with go via one of the other ones. They are appear reasonably accessible via social media.

Ha! You are on one of them (briefly) singing away!

I’ve got some vids taken round that time. I can have a scan through to see if you’re on if let me know how to distinguish you (I’d ask what you were wearing but if it was a black and white top…)

*I don’t actually know the majority in the second pic, so apologies if you see yourself / your missus ?

Yeah, I was in the safe standing bit, as were a few others on here. It was fairly flat, but a few things to consider. It was 800-odd in a 90k stadium. The way the match played out , particularly the second goal, took the wind right out of everyone. There also seemed to be a strange feeling to the crowd. People were so, so happy to be there. I was speaking to one lad on the concourse before the match and he almost broke down in tears of happiness. It might have been a bit overwhelming in some respects, you’re kind of just taking it all in, then nothing really happens on the pitch to snap you out of it, and next thing you know you’re on your way home. -
Matty Longstaff was about 3 or 4 rows in front of me at Wembley in a bucket hat and hoodie presumably to keep himself low-key. Also briefly sat next to Steve Harper on the tube who seemed to be with his kids.

Nah, going the other way! ? Newcastle - Belfast - Luton

What if he never faces that club again?
