    NUFC Transfer Rumours

The theory aired in the article is that if we move in January, we can get in before the rest have decided to commit. Not sure how realistic that is like.

    Joe Willock

Basically says we’ll only sell if we get Smits to come in.
  3. They were incredibly resilient and thoroughly deserved their win v Man Utd. However, that type of situation is normally where a Moyes team excels (OK, maybe not 10 men, but ‘backs to the wall’ type situation). Be interesting to see which team has the most possession and what type of game plays out. There was at least some level of fluidity to our attacking play last night compared to West Ham and Brentford (aye, I know the bar couldn’t have been any lower after those two), so hopefully that continues.
  4. We’ve just won 6 home games on the spin. I appreciate emotions run wild immediately after games, especially defeats, and it’s often best to just let people get the rants off, without picking them up on stuff, but this is absolutely ridiculous.
  5. I would go with ‘OK’ rather than ‘decent’, but you know how it works, the only two acceptable opinions are ‘brilliant’ or ‘shite’.
  6. Ignoring the fact it’s ridiculous to think he’s currently anywhere near being able to contribute to an elite level game, other than as an emergency for a short period, there was no sign of him for the U19’s this afternoon, so must be something wrong with him.

    Yoane Wissa

He looks canny for it in the pics and vids if they were.
  8. That would seem the more likely formation if the that’s the 11 tbf.
  9. Tino RWB and Murphy LWB would seem odd, but maybe there’s a plan? Also, a bit random to make Thiaw do the press if he’s not playing.
  10. Would Murphy not be RWB, unless Kraft is playing, rather than Tino or Hall?

He trained (a bit) but not sure he played in any actual matches? Putting the AFCON dynamics to one side, we’re probably trying to avoid a situation where he’s physically fit to play but isn’t that sharp, doesn’t perform well as a result, and people immediately start questioning how good he actually is, and whether he was worth the outlay. I think we can all see elsewhere the negative impact that could have…
  12. Don’t think Neave’s in the squad. Presumably they felt it better he play’s for the U19’s.
  13. Yeah, Dom Scurr says he’s training with the first team at the stadium. Assume all the youngsters are over there anyway for the youth game, so maybe they’ve just added him to training to make numbers up or something?
  14. Had a little injury around the time we were in for him, but assume that’s cleared up given he’s been starting consistently. Can’t say I’ve seen that much of Wolves, and tbf, there’s an argument to say anyone would struggle to score consistently in the team they’ve got now. But if they do go down, you’d guess they’ll end up having to take significantly less than we offered, as they don’t appear to have a great deal of other particularly sellable assets. Everything’s easier with hindsight mind.

    Tino Livramento

Seems to be at the majority of matches, home and away.
  16. Tide beginning to turn amongst the e-Scousers (dunno who this bloke is but he’s got 45k followers).
  17. Wolves decision to turn down our bid for Strand Larsen appears worse and worse with every passing week
  18. Yamal. Your point is completely correct though. Unless you’re an absolutely elite talent (like Yamal), there’s no need to be playing loads at the top level when you’re a teenager. His time will come. Everybody just needs to be patient.
  19. Presser at some point this evening I’m assuming?
  20. Tbf, he did say something along the lines they were waiting for ‘clarity’ on it, so nothing confirmed yet, but it did sound like he was expecting a bit of absence.
