  1. Tbh, although clubs could clearly be doing more (and assuming they aren’t all as dodgily connected to it as Chelsea) they’ll only ever be adding temporary inconveniences to the touts (barring something drastic like facial recognition). Really it needs governmental intervention to crack down on these reselling sites. Clearly as they’re all based in foreign countries, it would be a significant undertaking, and it would take time. But as we’ve seen with the recent restrictions introduced to porn sites (so I’m told…), if there’s enough political will, these things get done. Would a government (of any political persuasion) be bothered enough to get involved with this? Unless the pressure from public opinion became significantly greater, I doubt it.
  2. Well, yes, every player clearly has some level of valuation that you will sell for. But I’d suggest actively negotiating with another club sends out far more ‘player for sale’ vibes, than simply saying ‘this is his valuation, don’t bother coming back unless you’re meeting it’.
  3. Wolves insist he’s not for sale but have resumed talks. Make your mind up lads.
  4. So hardest draw possible is probably someone like Brighton/Fulham/Everton away?
  5. Look forward to looking down upon the Bowl 2 peasants.
  6. Tbf their first choice striker is arguably the best in the world, so it’s not really the biggest negative.
  7. Does he ONLY want to join Newcastle United though?
  8. Kairat Almaty will be flush with cash now.
  9. Hopefully get Almaty at home. Credit to them for their determination and game plan, but ability-wise they’re miles off it. Having said that I don’t think anyone at the club could be arsed with the chow on of having to play them away.

They’d need to buy a lot of tickets and do a lot of cancelling to put much of a dent in them when they’re knocking out every ticket for hundreds of pounds.
  11. Worthless selling the women’s team until they get into the WSL.
  12. Yeah, a new stadium with vastly better infrastructure would probably be the point that it would be introduced, if it were to be.
  13. That may well be true, but touting is of no benefit to the club, as they aren’t the ones receiving the extortionate fees. If the club know the demand is there to sustain ticket prices at this inflated level, I’m sure they want to be the ones benefiting from it, as opposed to these organised touting groups.
  14. As @Kilcline mentioned earlier, facial recognition for entry is coming, whether people like it or not. I’m interested to know people’s thoughts. On one hand it’s an intrusion of civil liberties, has the potential to be a right fuck on, and seems an all round draconian measure. On the other hand it should make it significantly more difficult to tout. Can’t see how third party resellers would get round it tbh?
  15. Think you can only get a maximum of two teams from the same country.

Sadly, this is correct. Mr Qi Xiao will probably be part of fairly sophisticated touting operation, with multiple methods of accessing tickets. Whilst I would never say it’s a waste of time reporting them, in reality it’s probably just going to be a minor inconvenience to them.

Can’t see how you can get banned for buying a third party ticket. Refused entry (well, obviously not now), but that’s the worst that would happen.

Stayed behind the lads when it seemed all hope was lost.
  19. You watching Brentford? This goes through and that sweet sweet Wissa cash has disappeared.
  20. Bumping this so we can discuss whether the ‘West Ham Way’ is repeatedly getting heavily done at home in front of a half-empty stadium.
