I read an interesting (well, to me anyway) article a while ago about Leicester’s new training ground/campus. Whilst everyone agreed it was state of the art, and every kind of facility a player could need, there was also a feeling that because it was absolutely massive, and quite remote in terms of location, some of the players weren’t that keen on it. Something about having no ‘community feel’ to it. Now it might have been a case of people just searching for reasons as to why Leicester were so utterly shit last season (which was when it was written), but there may also be something to consider in regards to why we haven’t just whacked a new super-campus somewhere up by the airport.

Whatever the actual figure is, it’s probably higher than you would think for him because he’s had two PL club to PL club moves, and both times the buying club seemed pretty keen to get him, which usually results in being able to ask for a decent pay rise.

On the face of it, yes. But I’d be slightly concerned he’s been moved on in successive seasons by Villa and Juve. Maybe just the financial situations at both clubs have dictated it, but I’d still see it as a bit of a worry.

He’s played 11 games for Shakhtar. All in the Ukrainian Premier League. If someone on here says they’ve seen him regularly, and they aren’t Ukrainian, colour me sceptical.

14 goals for a team that finished 16th is better than mediocre like. And FWIW (prob not much) he had 13 for Celta Vigo in La Liga the season before.

If they sold him, that’d be him, Cunha, Sarabia and Ait-Nouri. Must be the vast majority of their G+A from last season.
