I like it. Obviously not as good as the original, but I only like that kit so much because of the nostalgia of that era / those players. If the current squad go out and perform miracles in it, I’ll love this one too.

End of September return for Miley.

Tonight was a great reminder, in the middle of a transfer window where everyone clamours for new shiny players, that this current group are fucking talented. Some absolutely beautiful football played at times tonight. Priority for me is to get the Guehi deal done and then IF a RW can be found that would improve us, do it, but if not Miggy, Murphy and Gordon who can also play there seems not the end of the world.

What are ticket sales looking like for tomorrow night?

For what it’s worth, I’ve been told this is a matter of when (imminent), not if. Sounds like some of the players have been in touch with him this week and it’s the expectation that he’ll be through the door before the end of the week in time to play some part this weekend.

I’ll be honest, I’ve never really actually noticed Schar’s aerial weakness… not enough for it to be an obvious problem in our team anyway.

😂 I’m happy to admit that I’ve not been told anything about this transfer, but I’ve asked directly about it since and that’s what I’ve been told.

Guehi is definitely wanting to move to us, so I’m told. AG and Tripps have been in his ear on England duty, and he’s very close to AG. Also, apparently there’s a clause that would make it significantly cheaper for us to sign him before the season starts (something to do with a sell-on clause, but I’m not sure on specifics), so if it happens, I’m imagining we’re pushing really hard to make it happen this side of Southampton.
