I don’t know. I’ve watched it another few times and I still can’t decide. It still looks to me like he flicks his leg back BEFORE any contact is made.
-
He does dive though? And it’s debatable whether there is actually any significant contact at all.
-
Haha. I agree from one angle it looks like contact, but the other 2 angles don’t. And to me it looks like the Hudds player massively overemphasises the flick back of his leg. As Mike said before, perhaps it’s BOTH a penalty and a dive ?
-
Surely the fact that we’re even debating it means that it’s not a clear and obvious error on the refs part. I’ve watched it 10 times now and I still can’t decide for sure whether it was or wasn’t.
-
That second one is definitely a penalty though!
-
The angle from behind the Hudds player looks like there is. The other two angles show that he flicks his leg away just before any contact. IMO.
-
Haha, ditto.
-
Nope. You’re wrong I’m afraid ?
-
There was zero contact. Watch it again from a different angle.
-
He doesn’t touch him. One angle it looks like he does, but every other angle you can clearly see the Huddersfield player flick his leg back just before he’s clipped.
-
Nope. Didn’t touch him at all.
-
I mean, I’m not sure what everyone’s watching. It was a clear dive. The Huddersfield player, had he not flicked his leg back and dived could have played on.
-
He didn’t actually touch him, but it looked in full speed like he did. The Huddersfield player flicked his legs back and dived just at the moment that he nearly touched him. If the Huddersfield player had waited a split second it would have been a stonewaller.

Targett said in his interview on NUFC TV after the Arsenal game that he wanted to stay and that it was out of his control.

I reckon a sprain

Burnley vs. Newcastle United: 22/05/22 @ 4pm (No UK TV)

Good line up. Hoping for a win, but I think they’ll be fighting. Can see a cagey 1-1 draw. -
Good for them ? The PL would be a better, more entertaining league, with Middlesbrough and Sunderland back in it. Much rather them make a comeback than seeing Burnley, Brentford, Norwich, Watford etc all the time.
-
I couldn’t be less worried about this summer. Even if we only sign two good players, I’d trust Eddie to be pushing top 8 next season.
-
? Of course it’s horseshit. I’d be willing to bet my bollocks on that not happening. Completely made up tripe based on a few quotes from Mourinho.
-
I’d personally keep him. He’s a perfect squad player for the next step we’re taking. You need that kind of energy late on in games coming off the bench. Would sooner see us shift Murphy.
-
Excellent player ?
-
I thought he was outstanding tonight ?

What a fucking night! Unreal atmosphere (Wor Flags to thank for an unforgettable pre-game), and the players were, to a man, incredible. High press, quick passing, Wilson leading the line, Joe breaking up play like a beast, Bruno keeping everything ticking over beautifully. Just a perfect night. This is the reason I fell in love with this club. There’s nothing that compares on a night like tonight ❤️

Without wanting to dig up the past, I haven’t really followed developments with the trust… what exactly has Hurst done to annoy people?
-
Probably in the minority but I’m happy for them. We need Newcastle, Sunderland and Boro in the PL again. Much better for the region and much better entertainment.
