  1. Rennes-Online. Arsenal: Cech, Mustafi, Koscielny, Monreal, Maitland-Niles, Kolasinac, Xhaka, Ramsey, Ozil, Lacazette, Aubameyang Rennes: Koubek, da Silva, Mexer, Sarr, Grenier, Niang, Bourigeaud, Bensebaini, Ben Arfa, Andre, Traore 2-1 Arsenal I reckon, Rennes to go through. Ben Arfa from the penalty spot. Howay Les Rouges et Noirs.
  2. Proper looking forward to the Rennes game.
  3. Lucky to watch Ronaldo, but truly blessed to watch Messi
  4. Think he will stay beyond this season, how long nobody can say. But I don't think he'll be backed enough to move us into the top 8 with any regularity, we'll steadily improve though and don't think we'll be fighting relegation having Rafa and this current squad from the beginning of a season. Either way, whilst he's at NUFC I feel proud of supporting the club, he's brought a sense of class and professionalism back after some disgusting appointments we've endured over the last 7-8 years.
  5. Spot on. You forgot to mention he has all the creative talent of a cluster of colour blind hedgehogs...in a bag. But that assist to Rondón was straight out of the National Portrait Gallery. Like something by the Colourblind Hedgehog Workshop of Siena. We’ve got the young Ray Hudson here. Get this man a job.
  6. I'm saying I can't see one outside of some individually brilliant players, the best of which doesn't even belong to them.
  7. Wouldn't hold anything against him. Came in for a small fee, helped us get promoted and now helped us stay in the division by stepping up when we had a 'crisis' in his position. Top professional.
  8. I think probably only Everton fans can say whether Silva should be close to the sack or worth persevering with. From the outside in, however, I can't see a defined footballing philosophy being worked on and showing signs of developing. Whenever I watch them play it just looks like a squad with some talented individuals who occasionally win games for them with individual brilliance. I look at Digne, Richarlison, Gomes and Gueye in particular. First seasons can be tough, and bad runs of form can be excused when supporters can see a style being embedded, but only watching Everton each week would give you that kind of insight which obviously I don't.
  9. I mean, ever since he came back from injury his form has been like one of the best keepers in the league, and before the injury he probably was going to be England number one. Fwiw I do actually think Ben Foster has been more impressive for Watford this season. He's been excellent. Plus I'm just having some fun because I daint like EDL FC.
  10. well compared with pickford this season..... Ben Foster's better than them both. Which pretty much says everything about the standard of the entire group tbh. No standouts.
  11. T0M H3AT0NZ THA B3ST ENGLEEISH KEPA LYK.
  12. Foul by Tarkowski that like. What a bell he is.
  13. Burnley All Whites set up in a very strong and stable 442.
  14. The problem with the argument that they’re both left sided players being the reason Ritchie doesn’t pass to him is that Ritchie constantly, at least 10 times since Almiron joined, cuts in to his right foot, not even in the final third and looks for a short pass inside realising he’s on his weaker foot and has little space rather than playing a sinple pass with his left to Almiron in space. So it’s not like when Ritchie does it it’s always because he has opportunity to cross. Blatantly ignoring him I reckon and it’s infuriating to watch. Would love Kenedy to start, Ritchie seems to see more of the ball than any other player despite being one of our poorer players at this level, was the same with Dummett when he was at left back.
  15. Did Ritchie just play Almiron in for that cross there? I don't believe my eyes.
