  1. Think he's looked poor tbh. Not judging him like he's allowed a poor game in his first proper match for us, but he's looked a bit out of his depth so far. Swear down we're always watching different matches. Although Ki might have just made him look better by comparison, admittedly. Not being harsh on him, but what's he done good? He's been caught on the ball, gave it away from throw-ins to feet, been slack defensively, had a poor first touch. I think he can come good, saw enough in pre season to believe that, but that was not a good 45 minutes from him. Played a few nice balls out wide into space for Sterry, put a decent cross in, and moved into good areas of space to receive the ball. It's baby steps when it's your debut tbf. Between him and Ki, he's looked the more experienced. I'd have to disagree, I don't think either of them have asserted themselves on the game at all. It's probably just a case of being willing to look passed it with Longstaff and not with Ki, which is fair enough. Need a lot more from both of them in the middle if we're going to get back in the game.
  2. Not sure, he's always looking to make something happen imo. Some nice passes in the final 3rd and a willingness to get in behind/beat a man. Decent showing.

  5. As I said, that's fine, be as you wish - that's the individual's right, but I've read him repeatedly have a go at other supports in recent weeks, largely over the Ashley out campaigns for not sharing the same intensity (let's say) and I find it to be a futile endeavour and one that misses the mark entirely to turn on other supporters who probably want the same thing.
  6. Give over man. I can totally understand & respect lack of interest, mine has admittedly dwindled - but wishing bad on the club, and having a go at other supporters for not sharing your feelings (of anger/apathy or whatever else) as you have done at times recently is not going to achieve anything. Looking forward to seeing how Muto & Longstaff get on tonight. I'm going 2-1 to us with Joselu, Kenedy & D.Murphy with the goals.
  7. Milner is better, no doubt about it. As is Shelvey
  8. First fighting with Lascelles, now this. Wild one.
  9. Barnet FC it is, then - not quite bottom.
  10. West Ham shirley (Pellegrini link & West Ham love a shit signing)
  11. What valid points do you think he raises out of interest? Lack of respect. It seems to me like he's pressed & antagonised more readily than many other coaches for reasons pointed out in my above post. They absolutely loved that he walked out of that press conference, let's not pretend they didn't - you can hear them in the video laughing giddily knowing they can wander back to their offices with the story the boss so wanted. Is that a respectful way to treat a top manager? Would Alex Ferguson, Jurgen Klopp, Pochettino be treat in that way? Nope.
  12. Probably cos he’s an utter cunt Nah, unwilling to think a man who I only really get an insight into through the various, disgusting media outlets in this country is an outright cunt. It's much more likely in my head that they're the ones that could be more closely described as such, not certain individuals, but the rabid, wolflike totality of their respective organisations. They see he has thin patience for their lines of questioning which seek no more than easy, convenient soundbites and have little willingness for reason and understanding; so they push his buttons relentlessly and then paint the picture of this loose canon of a man. I'm not willing to believe that's him, he seems like an intelligent guy who can't abide by their shite and loses it regularly with them. I have a feeling I'd be the same.
  13. Shearer wanted him to play on the right side of a two, Owen disagreed so he was left out
  14. Makes a huge difference to us, Yedlin. He's not the best right back we've had, even recently, but he's essential to this current team & style of play.
  15. Playing a championship team was my rationale. I agree he hasn't shown enough quality playing at our level, and outside of pace pretty much offers us nothing.
  16. I like Mourinho and think he raises some valid points. Maybe you could say the way he interacts with the press dictates the way they write about him & interview him, but I do feel he's held to different standards and judged in a negative manner more readily than most others.
  17. I'd like to see: -----------------Dubravka---------------- Yedlin-----Schar-----Clark-----Dummett ---------------Diame---Ki---------------- Murphy----------Perez-----------Kenedy ----------------Muto/Joselu---------------
  18. I wonder what kind of reception he’ll get when Fulham come here. I’d applaud him during team announcements if I happen to be at the game like.
  19. Eh? That post makes no sense. On the one hand you’re talking about careful planning and attention to detail. And on the other you’re saying he should have just played Lascelles where he wants. If Rafa thought he needed Lascelles on the right, and Lascelles showed an unwillingness to do so then he is absolutely right to drop him. Personally hope he sits out a couple of games as Clark, Schar & Fernandez looked good in a difficult situation.
  20. Love him. Would be elated to see him kick on here and keep scoring his fair share. Can clearly finish instinctively we just need to keep providing him with those chances. Always preferred him to Gayle and he's proving to be a better player I think.
