  1. I wonder how many minutes of actual football gets played in a match. I bet it's rarely 90, not just in this tournament either. The average 3 minute added time definitely doesn't account for the accumulation of every stoppage like.
  2. Yeah fair point, we were quite lucky with injuries to big players. Although maybe we're just fitter than years gone by because of proper coaching. I don't know. Either way we don't need to start pissing ourselves at every West Ham/Southampton rumoured signing just yet, we're in decent shape! We have much to be envied by the other teams imo
  3. Because they have no idea what they're talking about (the papers).
  4. Isco is the best player I've seen at this tournament so far like. Ridiculously good to watch.
  5. Isco is the man for Spain like. Love how he always makes himself available for the pass.
  6. Dinna about fucked like. Have people just completely forgot how good we were since January like? Unbelievable. West Ham buying a £22m centre back doesn't make them automatically better than us, that's not how how football works. We were far superior to them last season and still have the same squad minus Kenedy. I think the off-season has made people forget just how good a tune Rafa gets out of our group of players, and how good he is at having us win the little tactical battles that go a long way in such a tight league. I think it's a bit ridiculous to predict relegation for us on the evidence of last season tbh, we have one of the best managers in the league, man. The pessimism in here whilst partially understandable given our transfer history, is going way over the top at the moment imo.
  7. Should be a Uruguay win but I wasn't impressed by them too much in the first game. As for the Saudis, I thought no.13 Al-Shahrani looked a good player, marauding full back with good feet.
  8. Sounds like a potential upgrade on Perez. Nah different kind of player. Ozyakup is not the goalscorer/finisher Perez is/has been in his football development. For instance you wouldn't likely see him get 10 goals as Perez did last season. If I had to compare Ozyakup to a well known player in England it would be Ramsey (not saying he's as good as him mind). PS. take the Barcelona comment with a pinch of salt, any player who shows a glimpse of talent gets touted as good enough for Barcelona. Just look at Merino.
  9. Fancy Senegal there, good team that. Mane, Koulibaly, Gueye, Sarr & Niang all good players
  10. Behind Nagatomo for me who was superb and tbf has always been a very talented full back. Class team display though.
  11. could not agree more Prefer Eni Aluko but Scott has been good too aye Would be excellent to see them both get more punditry jobs going into next season although Aluko is now playing for Juve apparently. Tbh I feel like they've shown there's scope for better/different analysis to the usual PFM bullshit. Get some experienced sports reporters in as well, mix it up a bit rather than the usual bellends saying the same thing all the time. Helps that these two are great to look at I guess but that's not the whole thing. I'm just bored of the same old ex-player merry-go-round. Aluko was sat beside Evra & Larsson and showed far greater depth in her insight, made cohesive points and was actually interesting to listen to. The other two just blabbered on a bit and you we're left wondering, 'so what was the point there'? They're also hideously lacking in self awareness and massively biased, and that's not just the two in question. that was striking to me...forget the same but they both sat there and said team A have been better, aluko came next and said i disagree team B have been better for me and created the better chances...team B won it 2nd half...it was the serbia game iirc actually shje just outright disagreed with their analysis, how often do you see that? in fairness mind it seems dodgy to criticise the foreign lads too much overall considering they're doing their analysis in a 2nd language I know what you mean but they were both just being bellends tbh, nothing to do with lacking in vocabulary And agreed about the way Aluko was happy to disagree entirely, you indeed hardly ever see that from the usual crowd.

  14. James Rodriguez absolutely loving the national anthem there. Looks like me listening to Brian Jonestown Massacre right now.
