And according to Kaka it's been a fantastic game! Jesus!

Can't praise him when we've won either by that logic, as the opposition missed chances etc. Bruce is shit, always has been, always will be. A bit of luck and/or a good spell will not change that. Are we allowed to chastise him after a defeat? Because the Bruce sympathisers love to ram it down the throats of the sensibe people that really know what's going on. This team are crap! I couldn't care less what league says, we will be bottom six not top six by the end of the season.

I think similar although I don't think he's totally shite. However, it astounds me that he is an England international.

I still have the original plans somewhere in my house. I shall try and find them. I attended an "Open Day" whereupon the Newcastle board showed animated pictures of how the stadium would look. It was all rather magnificent if I remember correctly. I was all for it at the time. Too late now.

Exactly what Ashley wants, turn the fans against each other. Divide and conquer. Newcastle are united in name only Exactly this, Ashley has taken a leaf out the Conservative book. Let them fight among themselves!

Could be This isn't where I read it, but confirms what I thought I remembered: https://www.coachesvoice.com/robbie-elliott-sir-bobby-robson-newcastle-england-barcelona/ I'm no football coach but watch our team when we have a throw in. Totally clueless, all we do is give the opposition the ball.

Whilst I completely get where you are coming from I wouldn’t say it’s completely gone. I still go with the same people I’ve gone with for a few years and I still enjoy going, the football is dire at the moment but I guess one day Ashley will be gone. Still get a buzz when we win and still feel connected. Things could be a lot worse Hope you get better as well, remember your postings in the past Ashley will never leave of his own free will when he can pull a stunt like this - 3 months into a boycott - with literally thousands of fans lapping it up. Perhaps we were just beginning to make him think twice? Not now. Guess who wins again! There’s genuinely every possibility that he could be here until his death. It’s a guaranteed money machine. I can’t believe I’m in a minority of fans that understand the potential of NOT going. I know what the potential of the club is if people still go. Nothing. Nowhere. Until it’s too late and we become a footnote in the history of English football. I do see the viewpoint of not going, I just don’t agree with it myself. I don’t think he’s any more likely to go/ not go either way. Will go when someone pays over the odds, think it could happen any time regardless of what the fans are doing to protest As I said I don’t agree not going makes him more likely to sell so I’m happy to keep going as I love going to the game This is genuinely horrific. It is on second viewing - it’s not just about loving going to the game it’s literally inside me - rather than vilifying me for it maybe take some understanding I can’t mate, I’m sorry. I think you’re part of the wider problem. Complicit even. And there are 40,000 of these people (not fans in my eyes). What has this owner got to do to hurt you even more than he has?

This is unbelievable. That's exactly how I feel. Maybe we are more intelligent than Ashley/Tories think we are.

I rest my case m'lord. Some fans man!

One of the first things kids are told when starting football is play to the whistle. Decision was incorrect and was overturned which was the point of var to stop obvious mistakes. Var has had a nightmare at times but this was a totally correct decision. The referee does not stop still and continues to run waving play on. If I was Wilder I would be going mad at the players for stopping. Going on tv and mouthing off is just total sour grapes. The linesman in the first place and then the Sheff Utd players want shot for shit for that decision not VAR. Exactly! I have been going on about this for what seems forever. There is nothing wrong with VAR, in fact it is excellent. The arseholes/officials that interpret var are clueless. That linesman should never have flagged tonight against Carrol. They are instructed to keep the flag down in marginal decisions and let VAR decide.
-
Totally this. I mean we won tonight so this may sound hollow but we were totally outplayed by Sheffield United. This is the worry. I can't wait to reach 40 points.
-
It's about time fans (ha) got off this blokes back. "Pretty poor", come on man.
-
Thought he looked quite mobile and sharp tbh, although he once again got his feet caught up when he got in the penalty area. Hear hear. I think the bloke is a complete plank as a number 9 but he did ok when he came on. A back handed compliment if there ever was one. ?
-
Good for you Danny. Enjoy the moment. It was a great 3 points. I was over the moon with the result. However, I honestly can't see this style of football doing anything other than treading water. Sheffield United were all over us and that's a worry regardless of the result. I just hope we get to 40 points and maybe look at some other formation because this is crap. I know that sounds silly as we won but, come on ...... this is not good.
-
In their defence, the linesmen have been instructed to keep the flag down on marginal calls and let VAR make the decision. What was annoying tonight in our game, the linesman couldn't wait to flag Carrol offside when he was blatantly onside. I even called it onside in real time. I didn't need any camera angle.
-
Yeah we get it. He's 5 years old for goodness sake. Now do one!
-
Man City will win by at least 3 clear goals.
-
I thought you were tired of this thread.
-
Nowt wrong with VAR. Just the idiots that interpret it.
-
covmag hates the mackems as much as he does Ashley. I'm sure his comments were dropped in sarcasm. ?
-
It's a great point actually. As good as the defensive unit is, we are susceptible to a pacy attack. The player we need in the middle in that scenario is Dummett. Trust me.
